CEO - Shane Richardson

He would be bowing to them and their BS if he stayed. He is not yes man and made that clear from the get go. It was untenable as soon as they sacked the independents they knew it and so did he. Letting down Benji and the players was probably the only thing that made him take a few days to tie up ends with them before making it official. The aholes check mated him.

Im not saying stay long term and deal with them morons. Im saying stick it out over the next few weeks and see what can be done. Join the fight

No CEO has ever been punted and then started vocalising their discontent publicly. It's bad form...not sure why you expect this.

I have emailed the club requesting a cancellation and refund of my three memberships.

This is literally the only way to make my vote felt. I will be at the Pro Wests Tigers rally.

After that, I am walking away from NRL.
I think this is a warning to people to not renew your memberships until the preseason. If you really want PVL,s involvement, you need to threaten to cancel your Pay TV /Kayo subscription, which will in the long run, might entice some action.

This is soft from Richo go quite so quickly. He should have at least stuck by the playing group and fans until he knew the HRL won't do anything. Weak dog IMO
If Richo is as good as 99% of people on here think he is, I feel he would not have walked out on the "the playing group and fans" as quickly as he did.
But then as we know he has had serious health problems so that could be the reason.
But then BOF had serious health problems requiring him to drink good quality wine to alleviate his suffering, as I have been told.

You should be ashamed of yourself

You're saying he's weak and should stick around and fight and he's weak dog. Fight how? He'll have an HBG stacked board and he'll be another Pascoe...unable to make any decisions...with an HBG stacked board we don't even need a CEO

I said he should stick a few weeks with the fans and players to see if anything can be done. He has quit too soon. How do you go from that, to then saying I said he has been punted and should publicly bag the club?

A Quote in the media from Clown Town, someone is not living in the real world!
Who would take on the job of CEO at WESTS TIGERS to be constantly white anted.
No independent board, unstable and incompetent.
Sell their licence to someone that cares about Success.
Because until this happens, this will keep on happening we already have suffered 14 years of this rubbish.
This is a professional rugby league team not park football as HBG operate.
The NRL needs to step in, they can't keep watching and not take action.
It's a bad look for rugby league and the poor suffering fans.
ACTION IS REQUIRED and FAST before it's too late.
So many fans are already walking away they have suffered enough,
the NRL either intervenes or fold the club.
This circus has to stop,
its not fair to the WEST TIGERS PLAYERS ,COACHING STAFF, ADMINISTRATION , SPONSORSHIP and the FANS.

HERE is the Quote from Clown Town
“We thank Shane for his service,“ HBG chief executive Daniel Paton said.

“His resignation paves the way for a new path forward for the football club, and we will be making an announcement about the new leadership in the near future.

“We again wish to reassure our fans and the broader NRL of our commitment to the joint venture.

“We intend for everyone to move forward together as one, and will be driving this reality through a new CEO and leadership.”

Can’t believe you are critical of Richo …. Never saw it coming 🤔…

Don’t worry… someone new will be along shortly to get us back to the spoon and losing money again

I said he was punted...and apologies if ai read too much into your comments but Richo is no dog.

Corrupt...now fake allegations against Richo to push him out.
We'll have to wait and see if the jury in the court case bought on by Richo says guilty or not.
All we can do is wait and see.
Although my 'prediction' when the story broke was he will be allowed to resign to save him the indignity of being sacked.
But I may be proven wrong.
The HBG directors love incompetency and will terminate anyone who is successful.

Likelihood that this convenient Whistle blower report is more than coincidence.

I am astounded that there are any that are willing to stand in their defence.

He has gone into damage control for them this time last year when they over turned the board and put Romero in charge. She clearly aligned herself to closely to him for their liking so they removed her too.
You can't beat them they are answerable only to themselves. At least now they can add one of the most respected admins in the game to their list of victims, and of all their sackings/ forced resignations none have stirred up the shit storm among the fans like this one.

Thanks Wests

More turmoil at the Wests Tigers as Shane Richardson quits

The turbulent off-season at the Wests Tigers has continued, with chief executive Shane Richardson resigning in the wake of last week’s extraordinary decision by the Holman Barnes Group to sack chairman Barry O’Farrell and three other independent directors from the board.
Richardson’s decision to leave comes less than 18 months into his four-year deal with the club.

“It’s been a privilege to be part of the Wests Tigers and see what we’ve been able to achieve as a club,” he said.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Benji Marshall, the players, staff, sponsors and fans for their support over the last two years.

“We’ve got a fantastic group of staff who work tremendously hard – from administration through to football – and their efforts in turning this club around need to be recognised, without them the club would not be in the position it is today.“

HBG is the club’s majority owner and has come under fire for last week’s decision, with a rally organised for this weekend as well as calls for the NRL to intervene.

The move to sack the independent directors stemmed from a series of disputes where HBG reportedly felt they were left out of key decisions, including next season’s jersey being “too orange”.

The Tigers had finally appeared to be heading in the right direction under Richardson with the club moving off the bottom of the ladder and able to secure stadium funding for Leichhardt Oval and Campbelltown Stadium.

But the off-field turmoil will only set that back and lead to more innuendo around the future of stars Jarome Luai and Jahream Bula, with fans deserving some on-field success having not seen their side in the finals since 2011.

Monday’s announcement comes almost two years to the day since Richardson was unveiled as the interim chief executive after Justin Pascoe resigned from his role following a review of the club’s governance which saw then chairman Lee Hagipantelis and the board dismissed.

Tony Mestrov – who will depart as Sea Eagles chief executive on December 19 – is an option to replace Richardson and has a huge task in front of him to bring stability to a club that desperately needs it.

Current general manager of football, Shaun Mielekamp, is reportedly set to replace Richardson in the interim and is one of the candidates to take over permanently.

Good onyuh Richo, a very respectful resignation speech in heaping PRAISE on our club including the staff.

Pathetic.
