Richo is one of the last 'old school' types no doubt about that.
I thought he articulated his thoughts very well.
Just wish I could have 'heard' the thoughts of the Journos.

Richo said the allegations against him were from a really dopey journo and a really dopey whistleblower and are total b/s.

We can all jump at shadows and rant and rave about this and other things going on over the last few days.
There's probably a dozen different scenarios as to why Richo left WT's so quickly.
The same with BOF and the sacked board members.
But how many of us actually know the true facts at this point in time.
It will probably all come out in the wash, and hopefully sooner rather than later.

And this is similar to what @Vicious was trying to tell all of us.
But as you weren't hearing from him what you wanted to hear, a lot of y'all treated him with disdain, and that was very sad and very unfair to see.

The HBG does not deserve the benefit of the doubt in this, they have damaged our club for too long.

Not surprised at all that some were glad to see the back of Richardson. And wouldn't surprise me if he sailed close to the wind with everything he does - but that's how you get shit done in a competitive market at the bottom of the food chain, and from a club perspective and a fans point of view his short tenure was positive and productive - even if he is not a saint - neither is Phil Gould Nick Politis and all the other successful and powerful people behind clubs that are in enviable positions compared to where we are, and have sat for years.

I'm not in Richos corner or HBG or whatever.

I said it when Richo came here that I found him too brash, too definitive with his comments. He started criticizing the previous admin as soon as he arrives. Chammas called out his hypocrisy with certain things.

This dictatorship type behaviour would have put a lot of people offside. However, why did HBG get rid of the board members and not Richo if that's who they had a problem with?

And with how bad the WT were before Richo got here, maybe that's what we needed?

I've been watching and listening to a lot of Matt Cameron as well. He's not as brash with his comments. He tries to tell you the pros and cons of it all before coming to a decision. My personal belief is that a more democratic process is what works in the 21st century.

However, on the other hand, Gus would have been quite a lone wolf in setting up Penrith too.

I just feel there is so much more to it than just get rid of HBG, get rid of the board bla bla..

Changing people isn't working, we really need to change some sort of governance structure. The NRL needs to intervene which it will and they need to put safe guards in place where excellence is the main goal, not finance or power or control etc..

Rugby league is dog eat dog. Applying traditional standards won’t get you far. Richo has 32 PROVEN years in the fight.

Gee, I'd be disappointed in this. My Grandfather played For Wests in the 60s and my extended family live in the inner west.

I love the history of Wests, and I want the connection retained to the inner west Wests. I don't want the old Wests erased from our club. Wests and Balmain history is intriguing.

Removing the Wests name would be like removing the Tigers name for me, and many others.

You seem a moderator, and it has been upvoted by another moderator.

Everyone acting like they now know Richo was doing all the right things. And yet, I remember board posters questioning the ethics of Richo using his son's company for the last 2 years. Same thing that the NRL is now investigating.

Richo is a clever operator.

There are others. Let's hope we get another good one to replace him.
