Well the only teams i can see dropping out of the 8 next year are the bulldogs and titans. That means there will possibly be only two finals spots up for grabs next year.

I see many teams who failed this year improving next year: Manly, Souths, Roosters, parramatta and possibly even the warriors. I see us improving drastically as well in 2017, question is will we improve more then the other teams vying for a top 8 spot.

Historically it's 3 each year

This year was Roosters , Souths & Dragons .

My early prediction for next year is Sharks , Dogs & Titans .

This side is missing an ingredient essential for a top 4 finish….ticker. Very few of them have it and it can't be learned.

if we had all 900k of farahs money then i would feel a lot more confident we could recruit a whitehead or josh jackson over the summer and make the top 6 and push for top 4.

sure we didnt hit the target of top 8 this year, but hey we were 1pt away. a field goal against the titans a few weeks ago or against melbourne or not losing to the worst team in NRL history (the knights) would have seen us straight in

without them, i think top 8 is achievable. im really liking brooks (yes i know), moses and tedesco.

give em an off season to recover, train and develop even more and i think they will come out all guns blazing in 2017 while helping guide liddle into FG.

For Robbie, and we paid 750,000\. As I said, I don't know if they are right or wrong.

i read the article, it said he was getting 1.2 mil next year?? which doesnt seem to add up

us paying 750k is bloody ridiculous though…. not happy about that. doubt we'll be able to do much next year in post season (if we make it) with that sort of salary cap hit

For the record, I have stated many times that we wouldn't make top 8 this year or next with the squad we have. In fact I stated not much would change until 2018.

Pascoe has to say this because it is the third year of the former CEOs 3 year plan.

With no additions its hard to see top 4…very hard, it all depends on the defensive coach - who that is and what he brings.
The same ''improvement'' we had this year next year should see us make the eight somewhere - maybe

Sorry to disagree Ink - But we well and truly over achieved this year.
Anyone who thinks the rest of the teams 9-16 won't be better next year are kidding.
Parra were a better team than us this year despite the season from hell, Roosters will be back, Souths will also be back, Warriors will be better for this season..
The only team I see us being better than next year are the Knights - And "Maybe" Manly - That's a long on Manly.
Turn this years comp into a 16 horse race and we come 13-14th - Like our roster suggests we should.
