Jesus give it a rest…

Just ignore it...why flame it

Sorry Geo, but I'm over this up Wests v Balmain bs that's gets brought into every minor opinion you have these days. I'll bet you a gorilla Simon goes back into his shell and has no response for my last post.

Haha what a coward. I'd have thought you would have a bit more courage to defend something you clearly feel so strongly about but apparently not.

I didn't see the game so I can't comment on our team's effort, but i plan to watch the replay (with a heavy heart ) :frowning: when time permits. Very disappointing score line. I was hoping for a close game.

Happy Mothers Day TM

Don't wreck your day by watching that game today

Watch the 2005 GF today

Thank you Happy  I had a lovely day. I hope the Mothers in your life did too

Geez GNR there dosnt seem to be too many threads where someone isnt giving it to you. Are you just really good at pushing peoples buttons, or are you the victim of too many over sensitive types? Whatever it is all a bit sad when we are all supporters of the same team. For what its worth hope it ceases soon.

I was impressed with Siro over the first couple weeks, but he's gone back into his shell. He's back to where he was last yr. The pack are a bunch of kids, that's why they don't strike fear into the opposition.

reckon he was good against the dogs (as everyone was) but was average/lazyish against roosters and city/country

reminds me of hoffman, creagh etc.. he likes to run at the halves and never seems to miss a tackle when it comes to him.

He didn't really stand out to me against the Dogs. I probably shouldn't say much though, cos the relics will be along shortly to tell me I'm just bitter of his name, when the fact of the matter is that he and Moses are the two most polarizing players in the side. And it isn't cos of their ''geographical and family ties'' as someone in another thread so eloquently put it.

Our forwards were the trouble the other night. No halves pairing in the world could do anything when the opposition forwards were so dominant.

The only forward who caused some trouble to Easts was, as usual, Marty. The rest of them were humbled.

Woods has lost his offload ( or been told to lose it ), Farah has always been dangerous our of dummy half but not any more. As for Sironen, Ava and Sue, the less said the better. No impact in attack and zero in defense.

Lodge seems to have lost his aggressiveness and big Red seems to have lost everything.

Dean played well and showed the others mentioned how to tackle. Must start next week.

When Simon Dwyer came into FG he loved "hitting" opposition players -hard, Sironen seems happy just to tackle them, that's the difference between the type of SR. we have and the type we need

The change I would like to see is a return to an expansive style. Stuff this up the middle crap, our forward pack is small and undersized and hardly scares anyone. We need to stop thinking we can dominate teams up the middle it just isn't working.

You need a mix of both. One out for six tackles isn't the way to go. Knowing when to play direct and when the halves need to run the ball is something they will learn to do. Unfortunately, that takes patience and time for them to master.

Expansive footy has its positives, but that alone won't win you games in the modern game, smart footy will.

Strategy changes for me

1) avoid having Woods, Kilo and Kapow off at the same time

2) add depth to the halves play

3) kick to the corners rather than nothing bombs

4) give the ball to Sue and Sirro out wide running onto it

5) kick chase driving in a line (have stopped doing this last few games)

6) don't sit back in defense

7) Swap Kev and DH around if Nofo isn't selected
