Changes

For me;

1\. I would prefer Sue to start just for the fact he is more aggressive something we lacked apart from Tapau.
2\. Halatau is our utility bench player and should stay there. Even though I am not 100% convinced he will be there all season.
3\. Hoeter stays and will be a great centre for us in the future.
4\. Lawrence why does it take two years for you to make a run where your not just a battering ram, but use a fend and some footwork? Prefer him off the bench. or 18th.
5\. Nofo needs to be brought back in asap.
6\. Lovett bench or 18th.
7\. What happened to Fine?

The most disturbing thing about last night was we knew exactly what was coming, but the only real way we could combat it was with attack, yet we dont show our hand. May be very astute by Taylor, and may be something we see change at the back end of the season.

The only additions would be Nofo back and Simona …who do you replace others with , you drop a few plodders for more plodders and ineffective types.
The situation the club finds itself in will not be rectified until the ineffective stocks though the grades are let go and replaced with effective and dynamic types . Us Supporters will just have to suck it up until the turnover begins.

Teddy
Nofa
Hoeter
Naquama
Richards
Moses
Brooks
Ava
Farah
Woods
Halatau
Lovett
Sue

Sironen
Lodge
Galloway
Taupau

I just want to see Sirro come in looking for work more often. He's a big, strong lad with plenty of ball skills, he could really cause havoc in the middle late in a half with Teddy, Taupau or the likes sniffing around him.
He hasn't yet learned how to run good, consistent lines so I think we need to utilise his playmaking ability a bit more until he does.

He started off very well this season and I thought he was becoming a beast of a ball runner, but he seems to have lost his intensity lately. He comes across as a bit of a lazy player at times and reluctant to use his big frame to advantage. Hopefully he will become more consistent as he matures and gains more experience. As for his ball playing skills, yes he could definitely use them more throughout a game, but once again, he seems reluctant.

It would not surprise me if he is playing hurt, maybe ribs.

Tbh, look at Sironen's stats, he is not showing any signs of progression. 7 runs in 80 mins, Kyle had less mins and more runs? I don't see the hype at all. Both our second rowers fail to bring much to the table, don't strike fear into any team. Unfortunately we are short on good second rowers, Sue needs to come back out on the edge. As for a bench replacement thats anyones guess.

You don't have to look at his stats to see that he offers very little. Overrated and overhyped, not to mention that he offers zero aggression at all. Just a passenger, like many others, who couldn't knock the froth of a cappucino.

The problem with our pack is that aside from Taupau, we have no players who strike any sort of fear into the opposition.

If he was hurt Taylor wouldn't pick him

He said that himself

I am waiting for Siro to step up ,has the attribute but something is lacking . You are either dynamic or not regardless of where you are on the field. I am a bit concerned he is struggling to compete.

Hybrid your analysis of the forward pack is spot on,there is just no aggression whether this is the way the coach wants it who knows …but what I do know is there are many that are not earning there $$.

I didn't see the game so I can't comment on our team's effort, but i plan to watch the replay (with a heavy heart ) :frowning: when time permits. Very disappointing score line. I was hoping for a close game.

Lol yes good advice, Happy. Don't watch it Tigermama and enjoy your Mother's Day instead :stuck_out_tongue:

I was impressed with Siro over the first couple weeks, but he's gone back into his shell. He's back to where he was last yr. The pack are a bunch of kids, that's why they don't strike fear into the opposition.

reckon he was good against the dogs (as everyone was) but was average/lazyish against roosters and city/country

reminds me of hoffman, creagh etc.. he likes to run at the halves and never seems to miss a tackle when it comes to him.

He didn't really stand out to me against the Dogs. I probably shouldn't say much though, cos the relics will be along shortly to tell me I'm just bitter of his name, when the fact of the matter is that he and Moses are the two most polarizing players in the side. And it isn't cos of their ''geographical and family ties'' as someone in another thread so eloquently put it.

Yes it is.

*Looks at watch* yep, on cue. Lets assume you're right, just for the sake of argument that this is a Wests v Balmain thing. I see a lot of people who identify themselves as ex-Balmain fans critical of both, but they're criticism is valid, and they're legit in saying its cos of his ability they don't rate him? But anyone who isn't an Ex-Balmain fan is just bitter?

So in short, its okay for ex-Balmain fans to be critical, but it isn't for the non ex-Balmain fans?
