CHEAP FORWARDS!!!!!

as i said at the start of this tread, how good are the manly pack going, with 3 CHEAP but BIG forwards.
Brenton lawrence could not get a look in at the gold coast.
horo was the same at parra.
symonds the same at easts.
It shows there are players running around in the second tier looking for a go, but what manly done was target tall rangey players, not like are recruitment team small light weigh no hopers.

MAYBE WE SHOULD SIGN THE MANLY RECRUITMENT MAMAGER.

Tom Symonds reminds me of Aiden Guerra, who is currently running around for Newtown. He could be a good pickup, but then again, the backrow is not top priority.

Jack de Belin can't get a run at the Dragons. I've always thought he goes pretty well but not sure why he's stuck in reserve grade. Maybe Jack Buchanan can have a sneaky word to his former teammate

I think we also need a wing who is a finisher. An athletic guy who can JUMP for the ball and pick it out of nowhere. Someone who can dive for the line with only a tiny gap to get through. I don't know his current fitness level or contract status but Jharal Yow Yeh is the type of player I had in mind.

Like a Josh Dugan….....

Yep, hope teddy can live up to the hype though. Same with brooksie. Sometimes I feel they are overvalued and can sometimes not make that step up to 1st grade with consitency over the years. Well, we should find out on monday if teddy can make the step up

Good point, pHyR3, there is a bit of a history of people over-valuing players here. I remember a few years ago everyone expecting Moltzen to be the next big thing in the halves - now many people can't wait to get rid of him! lol Mullaney and Crockett were others, now Miller and Groat (although his time may still come). Hopefully, Tedesco will eventually take the path of Woods and Koroibete, rather than the others mentioned.

What are peoples thoughts on Josh Starling? He will never get a run at Souths with their pack and I thought he went ok in the nsw cup game yesterday. Not sure if he is off contract though.
