One thing u cant deny Kaufusi is that he had one of the best debut's ever. He certainly fooled us that day against Canberra didnt he?

Manakese Richter = Jackson/Lipina Kaufusi!.

*ding ding ding…...we have a winner....

Strewth!, what do I win?, didn't his brother Mal play for Wests in reserve grade before signing with Manly/Northern Eagles before heading into oblivion just like 'Action' Jackson.

Great game and great memories this game. I think it was a very cold Saturday night at C'town sitting there watching this.

A whole heap of Action Jackson memories….

see his work on Tahu then....priceless...

I dont know how we managed to win this. the knights were dominating up till the cragie try but seriosuly the tigers looked terrible in my opinion especially the right hand defence. this has got to be up there with one of the tigers greatest wins  and wat a ball from galea at the end of the 1st half forgot he played a bit at 5/8th in those days

Really enjoyed watching that again. If some of those players where coached by today's standards I think they could have been quite good players with longer careers. Shame we were such a rabble at that time.

Gee you know Action Jackson did not put one foot wrong in this game, had a charge down that at first look was a knock on but play on.
He reminded me of the wingers that Phil Gould had to win the 1991 comp in Graham Mackay and somebody Smith, took all the pressure off the forwards etc etc.
Gee there's some players in this lot that I loved as Wests Tigers players that we should have kept and I can't believe that poor old Steve Crouch was denied a try despite the brilliant footwork from Kevin Heaven McGuinness?.
Mind you we had some talent sitting on the sideline during this game, Tyran Smith, Jason Lowrie that they showed but where was Terry Hill, must have had a Lobster pot to empty?.
Love all those old players and lament that we let some of them go before we got the best out of them - Shane Walker went to Melbourne Storm, John Carlaw went onto the Warriors who played in the 2002 GF, Corey Pearson went to Parramatta, Ben Jeffries is playing in the UK Super League along with Ben Galea, Willie Manu etc, then there's Luke O'Donnell who should never have left us.
I really thought at the time that Terry Lamb was going to be A SUCCESS BUT TIME SHOWS THAT HE WAS MORE ONE OF THE PLAYERS MATES RATHER THAN BE a coach and cost us a great sponsorship in Don's Smallgoods.

Sigh… I realised just then how much I used to like and rate Darren Senter. He was brilliant, and with modern coaching, would be an asset in today's team.

Kinda reminds me a bit of a love-child of Farah and Ennis - A sneaky, smart player who also antagonises and pisses other teams off.

The bad side is he was playing second row of all positions in this rabble of a team. Didn't he eventually become a hooker, or is that too much common sense for our team?

Thats because the great Cherry Mescia was playing hooker, and yes Senter was a hooker as well

He shared the duties with Mears the following year, he was pretty much a nobody at the Dogs, I learned to hate him at Balmain then really grew to like him with us….passionate as.

I think a lot of our players were the victim of a new JV, very difficcult times for all concerned

I can remember being at that game. I was 16\. It was like getting some food scraps from the table of glory… It was certainly one for the true believers. We were hated back then.

It was the Best game I'd thought I'd ever see until we Beat the Doggies in Round 2, 2005\. That for me was the first ever game where we looked\played like we do today.
