After an injury disrupted 2009, when he missed out on a rep opportunity, Chris will be looking for an injury free productive 2010.

He missed a few games last year and was down on his tries scored compared to earlier seasons.

2009 Season
Team Tigers, Games 18, Tries 7, Goals 0, Field Goals 0, Points 28
2008 Season
Team: Tigers, Games: 24, Interchange: 0, Tries: 10, Goals: 2, Field Goals: 0, Points: 44
2007 Season
Team: Tigers, Games: 18, Interchange: 6, Tries: 16, Goals: 0, Field Goals: 0, Points: 64
2006 Season
Team: Tigers, Games: 5, Interchange: 0, Tries: 2, Goals: 0, Field Goals: 0, Points: 8

On his day Lawrence is one of the most penetrating centres in the game and is one of our main strike weapons. With players around him such as Lote, Benji and Tuiaki hopefully we can be looking at a stack of tries this season.

I hope that he steps up this year as we have the best forward platform we've had for years which should provide the backs with great opportunities.

His defence has improved out of sight and I'm sure he is determined that his attack should as well.

I'm backing Lawrence to stand up and be counted this year !.

Last year was a great year for Lawrence when he was fit. Everyone kept saying he needs to become a better defender, and he became arguably our best one on one hitter as well as his cover defense improving out of sight.

Alot of people, easily, forget that he could've played u/20's last year, he's that young. He combines the attack from his earlier days with his defence of last year, and he'll be the best centre in league.

Spoke to his Dad , Steve, late last year, and he said, even when he was on the field , he was playing the whole year with injury.
If he has overcome those injuries during the break and has had a good off season 😛ray: ( not sure..any word anyone?)….watch out, this man Child is due for a massive season. Hopefully we all will see the making this season of a great complete Defensive & Attacking Centre

Your missing one vital statistic there mate….his try assist tally would have been very healthy.

You know you have a good center when the winger is topping the try tallies.

If Lawrence does remain injury free then he'll go very close to making the NSW Origin side.

Great stuff…....

What chance a Lawrence/Ryan Combo......

Tuiaki who?

He could play Origin this year. His defence really impressed me last year. Maybe one thing he could improve on is when he runs onto the ball at full speed. Sometimes he times it wrong and maybe runs onto the ball too fast and it ends up bouncing of his chest or he drops it but sometimes it is because the pass wasn't all that good.

I'm betting Lawrence will have a monster year last year and is a real good chance for a blues jersey.. Could be the first season where the Tigers are missing several players come SOO time..

I thought he had a great season, especially in defence. But his attack was also strong as stryker points out.

According to NRL Stats (for Centres)
Equal 5th best for Try Assists (7) - Adam MacDougall best with 10
Equal 1st for Line Break Assists (9)

Massive Fan of Chris, but for me his defensive frailties seem to revolve around his grip, it appears like he doesnt have the strongest wrists which may be attriubted to his age and or maybe why they are always taped? but the kid can only get better, and lets hope he scores 20 this year

Lawrence never looked dynamic last year. Even when he ran away from Slater at Leichardt it looked like he either had some left or was labouring somewhat. At first I thought it was his bodys struggle to play with the increased muscle mass but an injury seemed the answer. He was low down on his try tally, though his defence was a remarkable improvement and Tuiaki scored plenty of tries outside him.

Heres hoping for a great 2010.

Chris Lawrence will carve this year. With speed to burn, decent size to break tackles, solid defense, and the will to score tries, he will be the next big thing!!!!
