Saw the Divinyls with Screaming Jets at Coogee Bay Hotel on Christmas eve 1993.

Chrissy all dressed in her small school girl uniform teasing the crowd and giving us her greatest hits.

Great voice and great presence on stage. Broke new ground for women in the male dominated music industry in the early 80's. very tight band and rocked into the early hours of Christmas.

Shame that around the world they are considered one hit wonders for "I touch myself" when they had so many other great songs.

53 is way too young and another breast cancer victum (my mother also lost of battle to this disease)

My favourite song the very fitting "When the Good Die Young".

Rest in peace Chrissy. Your a legend.

So many favourite songs of hers. I saw her at Selina's in the '80's. I was totally gobsmacked. Then again in the mid '90's at Panthers. She was just so fullof energy, and was such a performer. I heard Glen A Baker describe her today as a hissing, spitting cat who owned the stage. I think that about sums it up. She was a groiundbreaking performer, and will be sorely missed. Ihope her wish for I Touch Myself to become the Breast Cancer song comes to fruition.

RIP Chrissy xxx
