Simpkins, Tuilagi and Simpkin should be looked at for starts definitely.. not sure all at once..

Docker-Clay is a career reserve grader..nothing changes that…

Simpkins, Tuilagi and Simpkin should be looked at for starts definitely.. not sure all at once..

The forwards should be getting rotated through our bench to give them 30min stints, then back to reggies for match fitness (if it is on)

Probably even more important to keep them fit now there is no 2nd grade

Cini just didn't seem to have what it takes but who knows, may get another look in.

Simpkin needs a bit more time, he'll be in first grade somewhere eventually. Not the messiah that some touted, I can't really get a read on his ceiling but it ain't Grant-like.

Tuki is still a pup. I wouldn't blood him this year.

So I guess I'm on the same page as our coaching staff...

I agree, maybe not Tuki, but the other two should be given an extended run in the team. Cini and Simpkin have both had a taste and should be allowed to develop in the NRL now. The season is dead so we have nothing to lose. Tuki should at least be given a game or two.

Due to the fact that this year is a write off, I’d rather get a good look at our juniors while we have good cap money available (post Packer/Mbye/BJ etc) to try and retain the talent rather then risk losing it.

Fact is we will struggle to attract top tier talent via external means so development within should be key. Though Simpkin, Simpkins, Tuilagi may or may not be first grade standard, I think they would learn more and be better off for next year if they were sat down and told you have 8 weeks of the year left, finals are out of the picture, Reggies is cancelled, show us what you got and we can build off that for next year.

It seems to be the old supporter chestnut to think the club should start bringing in reserve graders at the end of the season to see what they have got. Idk any club that does that.

Docker-Clay was a reserve for the Reggies a couple of weeks ago.
Either you don't own a TV or you havn't traveled to a game. In which case your mental state will be in a lot better shape than mine....

I haven’t travelled to a game? I’ve been everywhere this year. Only games I’ve missed were the ones in Brisbane. I can see with my own eyes that there’s more effort in players like Simpkin, Cini, Tuki and Dockar-Clay than there is in Mbye, Tamou and Roberts. Effort gets you places, I’d rather sit through and watch us get flogged but have players putting in every bit of effort until the full time whistle than seeing blokes with their head down only out there for the pay cheque

Sorry mate but I have to disagree with some of your post.....firstly if you look great in reggies doesnt mean you will be great in NRL fg side,a real step up to play against highly contracted players with gun reputations...
secondly ....when some NRL players get dropped to reggies they have stand out games to justify geetting back in FG ,a big,big difference playing down in reggies compared to the top level...
thirdly....why would you risk the young guys development by putting them in against high classed players to prove a personal agenda point,if they are ready Madge will pick them,he looks after the young guys...ask Cini why we had to buy K.Maumalo ...

Something has to change. I’m so sick to death of watching players like Roberts, Tamou and Mbye whilst you have players busting their asses off in reggies hoping to get a shot in first grade yet they continue to be overlooked week in week out. How come Roberts has had 1 good game all year but keeps his spot meanwhile Zac Cini had a blinder on debut and an average 2nd game but gets dropped and hasn’t even been in the 21 since?

Zac Cini, Jake Simpkin and Tuki Simpkins all in the NSW Cup team of the year busting their asses off and carving up in reserve grade - yet you’ve got bludgers like Roberts, Tamou, Mbye who continue to get selected every week just to dish out the same rubbish

Surely with nothing to lose Madge looks to reserve grade and picks some players out from there? Pauga, Kiah, Kelma, Dockar-Clay have to be in the mix for first grade as well. All continue to stand out every week in reggies yet they’re being overlooked by the same bludgers every week who have no effort and pride in the jersey

Cini was given his opportunity and failed , these opportunities are not given often they should be taken seriously!

Succeeded then failed. Jake Simpkin was ok at start of year then faltered. I see nr9 changing if Liddle does not perform regardless of contract status, we probably need 2x Nr9's anyway.

Glad to hear the players are going well in NSW Cup. The key problem is defense and that relies on Combinations. Hey you want them to play first grade. Tell reggie's to focus on keeping the other side scoreless!
