Yeah, staying quiet when the fans want answers to so many questions is a poor look, silence is deafening and annoying, smart organisations would be on the front foot and would repair the damage quick smart.

Guess that sums up their level of professionalism.

That’s good in theory, but if you look at it from HBG’s point of view they would most likely be at the point where they are thinking it’s better to say nothing as every time one of their representatives makes a statement there are people who want to comment that they are telling lies.
Whether you believe them or not, nobody is going to happily accept being ridiculed every time they make a statement.

Then you are not the leader we need. I get ridiculed everyday in regards to what is happening at the moment.

Acknowledge the mess that is the HBG, recognise that people have very good reason to be disillusioned with the HBG. Have some balls and actually do something about it, instead of throwing stones at those who are disillusioned.

Be a leader for your club, because at this point a lot of Wests Tigers fans are fed up and you guys instead of trying to fix it, attack the disillusioned.

HBG created this situation, not the fans

You're dead right mate. Fans want answers to all the questions. Seeing that many here are so intent on sticking the knife into HBG at every opportunity( some of you are obsessed ), let's apply the same scrutiny to the other half of the JV.
That'd only be fair, yes ? What was originally two halves of an entity, and all . . .
Did we ever find out the reason Balmain's board and club rammed itself into the ground, exploded and imploded at every level, showed incompetence at Olympic record levels till it needed to be bailed out ?
I'm sure the fans want those same answers as to why one half of the JV blew itself and it's cash into the stratosphere, and forced us in the situation that we are in.
I don't remember that abysmal failure attracting anywhere near the degree of scrutiny that has gone on here for the past few months.
I sure as hell would like answers. Because we wouldn't be sitting here having this discussion if the Balmain board did the things that you guys are shouting and demanding HBG's board do.
It would be a refreshing change to hear why Balmain's board did 100X worse than what HBG is being constantly whined about on here, yet somehow this absolutely catastrophic event in the short history of our club is oh so conveniently never ever spoken about.
It seems that people's intolerance and utter contempt for boardroom dodgy stuff conveniently only developed a few months ago. How conveniently selective.
Now that I've got your BP up . . . let me say that I don't particularly support anything that's to the detriment of this footy team that I follow. I really do hope it blows over and gains some stability to not affect our season.
But whatever the outcome, there is only one reason that HBG are majority owners.
And Steve, this isn't directly at you. Your post just happened to be the last of a string that formed an ever recurring theme here . . .
 
I don’t know the timeline but I think Balmain went broke around the time we had just played finals did they not? It’s the 15 years of failure that have most people ready to accept any old ownership change. That’s my reasoning anyway. Nothing to do with the old heritage clubs.

Yes I understand you are quite capable of accepting criticism and explaining yourself, you do it very well.
In all honesty I would be very happy to have someone like yourself on an independent Wests Tigers board or at the very least be a genuine voice between Wests Tigers Supporters and Wests Tigers management such as Shaun and HBG.
Maybe there is no strong dominant leader capable of being a regular spokesperson and steering the ship in the right direction in regards to the HBG Wests Tigers involvement.
I simply don’t believe that every person representing HBG’s Wests Tigers involvement past and present have been doing so with an agenda to sabotage Wests Tigers.
Yes there has been plenty of strange and poor decisions along the way and yes it seems there has been people involved who have not had the best intentions, but that’s not to say it’s impossible to work much better moving forward with a lot of different people involved.
I know and I think you also know that there has been at least some actions along the way that were not aligned to HBG’s way of thinking and whether you, I or anyone else agrees, being the 90% shareholders they deserve to have a say.
I know you are right on the pulse with all this stuff and my view is you probably have a bit more power within your voice than you even realise, which can be a great thing for all Wests Tigers supporters as I’ve stated before, anyone who agrees with you or not cannot dismiss that you are a very good, loyal and passionate Wests Tigers fan.
I am certainly not going to think you are a bad person if you run a campaign to remove HBG of their 90% stake and it becomes successful, I just don’t think now is the right time to be pushing something like that so close to the 2026 kick off which we all hope will be a return to the top 8.

Balmain is just as bad mate, they however have minimal influence on the Wests Tigers. Only HBG can change this.

You beat me to it mate that was then this is now theme, the Balmain failure didn't have the affect on the footy side like the HBG reign has had since, we can’t get pissed at anyone else when they have been the constant.

I think the reasons for Balmains demise is well documented. If you don't know, there is a plethora of information online.

Not sure how you draw any distinction between HBG behaviour and Balmain going broke, or why this is a Balmain v Wests thing?

No doubt the Balmain dramas has played a significant role in our plunge to the bottom. Nobody is denying that.

Looking forward, we just want a stable and successful side.
