I’m afraid of our 30 players less than half are true NRL standard….i’ll Call this out now....Cleary will be gone after 2020, off to the Roosters who can attract and buy any player they want....think about it, if u were Cleary which club would you prefer to coach.....?a hand picked team of stars or a team of try hard wanna be’s......?

Were is the satisfaction in training a team of players who everyone despises because of the way they are assembled and Labeled as salary cap cheats
Ivan will stay
Ivan strikes me as a coach who wants to earn his wins
Not buy them

You can only sign players who are in the market place. To a man the new players are solid first graders, but not game changers. Cleary needed a base, which is what we now have. To expect immediate success coming off a culture of appalling performance and a woeful coaching group/football department is fanciful and unrealistic. Cleary is earning respect and trying to create an environment which will lead to success. I would say that having Farah back would be a brilliant move for reasons that are obvious to anyone that studies game management and ruck D

Was at the game amongst the 10,000 others, we looked terrible circa 2016…the only forward willing was Lawrence...terrible Tigers...next game at CSS will be lucky to attract 8,000

I thought that wests tigers were about winning and making the finals.
Started the season so well, only to see it fade away.
Maybe this result is the kick in the butt, they needed to get their act together….
Who knows.
What I do know dis-appointment of missing the finals is once again ever present and coming quickly   .

Always have been, always will be losers. A club born from failure destined to continue to fail. We have consistently been the worst club in the competition for 19yrs. One can only shake their head.

You sound like the bigger loser supporting them all of these years then? There are 15 other clubs to support. Find one and disappear.

I was not a JT fan ,but his career was ruined by bringing Cleary on board, Cleary with the advantage of a blank cheque re recruitment, has not delivered

Nonsense JTs career was ruined by his own inept coaching. Results like today were common during his tenure as coach.

Those results are becoming more regular with Clearys hand chosen team, moderate loss to Sharks, flogging today, no win in sight, another year down the drain.

Didn’t mention colour Pete, just stated the obvious, obviously you love giving cap money away without return

I didn't say you mentioned colour. When you generalise that islanders don't play with any heart, that's racist.

This is a forum mate, where people can express their opinions which I do t believe are racist, so stick your nose where it smells best

Just because you don't realise you are being racist doesn't mean you aren't. Think about the fact that there might be islanders reading this who don't appreciate your baseless put downs.

I remember when we were on 10 points and 3rd on the ladder and Buzz predicted we would still place 10th.
I scoffed at the blog and called him a bitter fool.
Looks like he was right.

I always knew Gus knew what he was doing .

" I still don't know what my best side is "  Classic!!!!!! Sorry Ivan if you read the Forum

1 flogging you turn what happened…

Calls for Ivan's sacking are a little premature - just emotion speaking.
We've played 15 games and been very competitive in 29 halves - this was the first 40 minutes where we've really be towelled.
There were always going to be lows in the season and that's when the club needs its supporters most. I'm sticking - WT are my team and I'll wear the bad with the good.

I would not slit my wrist if Ivan left put it that way.

You can maybe think that in the back of your mind and have doubts…..but to come out with that ? Nah shocking in my book.
His had a whole Pre Season with this squad , Trial games etc...... 😕

How many hookers have we had ? Killa , Liddle , Godinet , Taylor , Reynolds , then been back and forth with Lolohea and Thompson at Fullback , then starts the year with Nofo in Reserve Grade before bringing him back a couple weeks later , Naiqama in and out

Enough said ?

I really don't know anymore , i sort of feel for Mbye.

Thompson and Lawrence have been standouts all year the real positive for the year .

Packer and Reynolds are loving there pay days , pretty sweet to do bugger all and collect about $35,000 Net per Month , life's good why wouldn't you come to us and plodder on.

Good post. There were more games we should have won and games i didn't expect us to be in. Other teams have hit their straps and we're not keeping up now.

We were garbage today, and we're on the slide but we're still competing every week for the most part. 40 minutes out of 1200.

That deserved a tirade from Cleary

I hope Cleary replays Canberra singing their team song in the background about 100 times

They need to be embarrassed , they need to be flogged at training

He hasn’t helped the situation by opting on a rotation system. Was only a couple weeks ago he said he still didn’t know what his best 17 was. How is that possible halfway into the season.

He doesn't know who to put at hooker or in the second row position occupied by Rochow today. You can see that because it's been those two spots that have been a revolving door of players all year. Probably not quite sold on the composition of the bench either. I think there are question mark positions in most teams and those two happen to be ours. He just said it in a way that can be construed as more than what it really means.
