Cleary

The bench tonight was similar to those that brought out the lynch mobs against JT. PLaying against a pretty big pack & we went in with Sue, Ava, Grant and Aloiai.

Dropping Felise was a mistake, and I thought the only reason MWZ would play was if Nofa was out.

Stated on another thread, it is looking like Cleary doesn't rate the young front rowers we have at the club.

Did MWZ actually play? 1st game admittedly, but he looks like he'll fit in with the rest, completely useless

In fairness to Moses it isn't through lack of trying. He is having a go he is simply coming up short.

And that is from someone who cannot wait to see the back of him.

Disagree completely…He had a go against the Cowboys.... since then..his effort and application has been terrible...

I even think i saw him fake an injury at one point tonight..but I'll give him the BOTD..he clearly wants out this year and it's showing on the field...**Cleary has a devision to make..**.

A devision decision. Exercise the excise. Part the waters to reggieland.

Cleary won't keep going with players not having a go , he will make changes , we are still a chance of top 8 as other teams will continue to with upset wins

There would of been no point letting Jason Taylor see out the season, would of meant Ivan would of inherited a team for 3-4 years not just this year. At least Ivan can recruit his team going forward and see who he wants to re-sign.

Taylor would have also had the same luxury of a massive war chest - your jumping to conclusions to think he would have kept the same plodders we have had through the bad years. Who knows who he would have targeted. Also Taylor did not have the power to hire and fire like Cleary does. Everyone on here is lauding Cleary for getting rid of 3 big names by forcing their hand yet the same people crucify Taylor for getting rid of 1 star (albeit with the help of the board) - and after last nights effort i fail to see that there has been any improvement under Cleary in either defence or attitude and probably a slide in attack.

Exactly. Cleary didn't get rid of those 3, he isn't stupid. They were always going regardless of who the coach was.

…and so it begins

It began weeks ago. All the hatred directed at the 3 leaving has to have an impact on the whole team. The goal should be to make the finals this year with the help of Woods and Tedesco. Fans need to get behind the team that runs on every week even if they hate some of the players. It isnt a popularity contest who cares if we like them?

Got it backwards. Try hard, play hard, play smart = win fans. Play like a skirt = lose fans. It is cumulative, if Moses was playing well despite leaving people would be alright.

Who cares if we like them? The players, according to you. If Moses honestly played like that because some of the crowd "hate" him, he is mentally unsound.

Even that attempted "tackle" on Cody Walker for their first try? Abominable! If that is someone trying, I need to adjust my expectations of the definition. Dead-set patted the bloke on the back as he strode through.

The problem in modern footy is it only takes one bad game, one player making some fundamental mistakes and the whole team gets brought down. A few dropped balls or missed tackles swings the whole momentum.

I agree regarding momentum. Yeah that effort on Walker was terrible. He had plenty of mates, we missed nearly 60 tackles didn't we?

Came off with a few good tackles in the second half from what I saw, so it's not as though he's phoning it in altogether like some believe. His attack game is droll at the moment and he was always a suspect defender.

I'm looking at his efforts over the whole game, not isolated incidents.

Cleary looked fed up at the press conference. I would not be surprised if Moses is gone before the next game.

Hope so.
It's evident the departing ones aren't giving 110%.
Woods I will give benefit of the doubt, he always seemed to put in until his hammy and we. Missed him last night.
We can't drop all three that would turn the media rabid.
Bugger MM just drop him… His attitude stinks and it's affecting our bottom line.
12k crowd when every ticketed mEmber was invited regardless if they were LO or CSS members only plus able to invite a friend.
It was terrible there last night the crowd couldn't even be bothered booing MM or JT just a faint murmur.

Yeah the atmosphere was atrocious. The best thing Cleary can do is drop him and let him play the year out in ISP. See how his ego handles that. He's playing for a release, he's trying to force Cleary's hand. I'd like to think Cleary will be too smart for him. The good thing is it's almost June so we can stop talking about these mid season transfers soon.

To be fair, I've seen a fair few females play with more heart than these players, in any sport. You watch that top tier netball comp on tv and they would belt our "tough" footy players A lot of these guys are kidding themselves….

This post is spot on. It was like being in a cavernous void waiting for a funeral. Fans weren't up for it, players clearly weren't, absolutely diabolical. I reckon this is rock bottom and we hit it with a heavy thud. The feeling last night was worse than when we got belted by canberra to make the finals. At least canberra were a cracking team. rabbits are definitely no better than us on paper. On the night it was just poo….

Their hearts are probably not here. They don't appear to be giving it ago, just let them go now. They don't appear to behave like professionals and only allowed to get away the way they did at Tiger's land?
Let's give all the triers at Tiger's land ago now.
