Coach Benji 👑

I’m just hoping we have been quietly in talks with the Mays and Fanuis and Macca on extensions , surely we haven’t just sat back and then gone shit Luai is leaving need to do something before his new role as the chief’s recruiter starts to kick in , we are open , wide open to loosing Turuva , The Mays , Bulla , just to start , that’s 4 who we need to not fall apart , our players today would be both happy for Luai and sad he is going and I hope we don’t get flogged at Cronulla as it will get messy quick , we really do need t win this game and move on

The Australian government taxes the shit out of everybody and this is just a microcosm of what is to come to the country. No amount of Benji love is going to stop players from taking the PNG gravy train. Not one of us here would stay with an employer if you got an offer that allowed you to keep 100% of your income. Not one.

This is just the beginning....clubs are playing with a 29% to 45% disadvantage against PNG depending on what you pay the player. Who is going to knock that back? Even a player on 500k gets to pocket an extra $200k compared to being in Australia...thats nearly an extra $17k per month...you go from 25k per month to 41k per month...that is massive...

Everyone thought no one would want to live there, but here we are...

Wouldn't surprise me if we don't start hearing media stories about PNG crime and violence, now that Luai has made the move a reality the interest and clicks will increase.

I know this is unpopular, but i actually see Benji as a bit of a smart ass in interviews and post match now..Reed asked him a couple of simple questions today and I thought his answers were a bit poor in return..He has to remember he was in the media not so long ago

They've stuck it up our ass for years and you want him to be a good bloke to these guys?

He’s very snarky at times. Doesn’t matter if the club gets vilified or not, it’s unprofessional and unbecoming of a coach who still has achieved relatively nothing.

Reid's questions to Benji were about contract negotiations, how many times has he said in pressers that he doesn't talk about this stuff but these stupid goonie birds keep on asking.

Imagine the response you would get from Bennett if you asked that dumb question, think he got off lightly for asking the same infuriating subject that is club/player sensitive.

Bennet just either ignores or gives a one word answer. Benji gets snarky and goes on mini rants. Also, Bennett has runs on the board and has more leeway.
