Coach Benji đź‘‘

Every coach we have had some with "good "assistants re Ben Gardiner Andrew Webster have never won enough games - doesn't mean that they couldn't coach.
Havnt we learned that yet?
What we should be asking is why Melbourne can identify talent in our nursery and develop it and we can't ?
What is the point of investing in areas when other clubs travel to identify players and then pick the best of them. Who was the last forward that we developed who reached anything other than FG?
A coach can only be successful with the resources they have got to work with and the club is the first barrier for every coach that takes it on
All clubs have ex players running water bottles and assisting at training they are the essence of every club.
No one wants success more for this club than Benji if he fails it won't be because of him or his assistants.
We all have our opinions about assistants or not, but this genuinely intrigues me. If it's not because of Benji, who allegedly has shaped the roster since Sheens started his second stint, picks his coaching staff and is neck deep in recruitment, then who would be responsible? I like that Benji has been able to do all that, when you get everything you want it leaves no room for excuses. Where do you reckon we are at currently as a club?

That is the protocol at most clubs. Maguire was accused of surrounding himself of people that weren't a threat - it's rubbish. Penrith took both of our assistant coaches to better systems and now you get people lamenting them. Same as Todd Payten - gets a pass as an 05 player because he has reached a level of success - at a different club?
We are treading water as a club. We have developed _who_ in the past 7 years that has stayed at the club and reached any level of success? We hear about them and then nothing or they emerge somewhere else.Even St George going through a rough patch have transitioned some young forwards that look great prospects.
What is the point of having this enormous junior nursery when other clubs recruitment teams can pick the eyes out of it - and why?

Clubs provide their coaches with the resources to become successful. Benj will suffer the fate of all unsuccessful coaches at this club and I'm not sure where we go after that. We exist on false hope that the next bloke will do better.

we’re a huge chance to beat the dogs.
Our last 2 games were winnable. Our centres let us down both times. One is leaving for a new club and the other is still a teenager. (That was no time for the tap on pass).
Good onya Benji for recognising we desperately need an experienced try scoring centre with strong defensive ability. Sure some resilience is lacking but that can be changed.
Definitely a better chance with critta out

I'm genuinely interested how people come to the conclusion that Benji needs better coaching staff?

Unless you've been a player or a coach and have observed the existing coaching staff doing their 9-5 job, how on earth could you know?

Vibes? ESP? Hidden cameras? Please explain!
Results will tell you enough , Hodgo and Heighno both had zero experience or near zero , Morris had a solid sharks team to walk into , we started off well at full strength and once we got an injury we regressed , that’s on the coaches
