We have no shape in attack and don’t do anything at pace.
For the last however long, we’ve been watching Twal take a settler mid set in the red zone - now it’s May.
This settler / reset the attack shit comes from Benjis playing days - we haven’t changed it since back then, but we don’t have a Benji to execute it now.

Yip we should be just attacking the crap out of the opposition but we don’t , and when on attack we are the slowest team to play the ball , T May Snr specially very slow

A full squad at the start of the season. We’ve jumped out of the blocks a dozen times the last 25 years. It’s nothing remarkable. What separates the men from the boys is when Origin hits and the run home. And we fall off the pace every single year. Without fail. Can anyone remember a season we were cooking on the run home? Even if it was a case where we just came up short? When was the last time we played our best footy at the back end of a season? But we played well between round 1 and 10. BFD.

A long time ago and the last time we played finals. In 2011 we won our last 8 regular season games to charge into the top 4. We then won our first finals match before that terrible Warriors defeat

Benji needs to be told he's got 15 months to save his job. He will be given the best assistants we can buy, he will be given better physios etc.

All of his mates have failed and will be released.

He cannot argue. They haven't performed, so they get sacked. He also hasn't performed but is apparently a semi good man manager. Not good enough to inspire his team to play well, or to inspire his boys to try their hardest, so the jury is out on his man management.

In the end of he's tactically horrible, and can't motivate anyone, what does he offer other than a name?

Let’s save time and give him a points target for 2026, if we make it he stays, if we don’t he’s out ! Keep it simple folks and give him clear and present focus.

We’re still feeling the affects of his second run. It was his genius that put in place this Benji debacle.

Agree , we need to bring in some outside help as assistance , S Johnson not sure where he is located but if Sydney yes , NZ no , to much travel , but I’ve banged on about A Johns and C Cronk as guys to fix our attack , both would be great 2 days a week , then a hard edge prop JWH doing fox but who knows 2 days with our engine room could be good , we just can’t attack properly close in ( 10/15 mtr out ) and defence teams run through our middle if api is out , others like Shane Webkey ( Brisbane ) or similar , outside is the key for me , Benji can still play Benji ball but Cronk and Johns probably just add the missing polish , it’s needed , Dragons game and warriors game both those sides were average and the game was there to win , we should have won both , if it’s money Benji should just hit HBG up simple , it’s we do this we win more , we don’t we look like crap team always

Yeah like we can afford to bring in those guys when we can't even spend the money for a full time reserve grade coach.

Injuries change every team’s performance and I’m sick of blaming and changing coaches.

Benji saying it starts and stops with him but it really doesn't. We're 3 years into his coaching program and he can't fire up a pretty solid team to beat an all time spoon era Dragons. Crap. Absolute crap. Will always love the guy but what he says in pressers doesn't actually stack up. Its nonsense. This team needs the biggest ego destroying spray of all time and I'm not sure he can do it to his pack of little brothers. This team needs to know that they've failed in 2026 and haven't lived up to the projected identity that they all live off. Our players can't live up to what they act like they are --- Luai included . For all your podcasts and banter and IG posts, and all your millions of dollars -- there is an accountability thing here that is not being lived up to. They need to be told they're sh1t.

Benji talks a good fight, but he's made his big calls and he's been backed to the hilt for many years now. Its not the wait and see era for him much longer. I actually want to walk up to him and say to his face ''you've been given a unique tailor made bespoke grand entrance into coaching since mid 2023, no other person gets that opportunity except you, and you can't even dust off an all time spoon dragons team 3 years later. You're actually sh1t cous. You played one of the all time worst teams and your side did nothing."

I hate being a fan today.

Answering my own post. I support the club making the Luai changes. Something had to give and it matches up to what was being said at the start of the year.
