Is that right? Heighington was pathetic in the effort areas. The amount of times he would be lazy on the inside when the opposition turned the ball back in used to drive me insane. This is really the guy who covers effort areas? Heigno's idea of effort when he played was to take 6 more hit ups than what he should to pad his stats out

Just watched Benji’s press conference … looking like a man who is out of ideas ..it’s disturbing when he says their week of preparation couldn’t have been better …there are no more players coming back from injury this season …so I don’t know how he will turn it around,,

Typically I’d be in favour of throwing caution to the wind and blooding youngsters ..but after seeming what happened to Maka and the way the team is playing ..I dunno …

What are some realistic suggestions on assistant coaches for Benji?

I like Johnny Morris, not sure how much output we're getting from him though.

Is Brad Arthur a chance?
Sammy Burgess?
I doubt these guys would take that job but everyone keeps saying Heino, Hodgo, Morris + Benji aren't doing the job. Who can?

It was a job no one wanted.
I just don't see who these coaches could be to upgrade on what we've got.

People need to separate fandom from reality.

100%. The last 2 years have been ruined, between Galvin, Luai and the injuries. If nothing changes next year then his grace period for me is over.

I think it's easy to pile on the coaching staff why doesn't the team take some accountability, did Brett Hodgson tell Bula to stand and look at the ball go out and do bugger all in the game.

Hodgo was good at fullback how could his advice be crap.

Did Benji tell them to just take one up hit ups, no, he told them to stop it at half time and play some football.

They have thrown in the dirty towel, they should've after the game formed a circle and took turns at kicking each other in the nuts for playing so dumb.

He picked all of his assistants again with full control.

If I hear injuries as an excuse one more time I will probably self combust..... We didn't loose against the knights, dragons or dogs because of injuries. Now where would we be with 6 more points......

Benji isnt protecting players by taking the heat at press conferences but rather he is enabling their piss poor performances and attitude.....

There isn't an NRL team that isn't playing injured players, players playing needled up is surprisingly common.

It's garbage for all the talk of standards its quite clear for everybody to see we have none !!!!

Benji's cooked and way out of his depth as an NRL head coach !!!!

If Benji being removed as coach sees his bros go with hime the good riddance. Neither he or his players are aiming up to any acceptable standard !!!!!

I will give him the first 6-8 rounds of the 2027 season as a last chance & if there's no improvement by then he should voluntarily step down or get sacked but then half the team that signed for bunji is going to revolt & our 16th season like the past 15 is going to be cooked & we're going to finish down the bottom 4 plus a chance to get our fourth spoon

When you are Bennet you have the runs on the board to be a smart ar$e to reporters.
After this year's performance benji has not learnt the right to be a smart ar$e with comments.
