So the Benji as coach lovers are abandoning ship now

I think anyone as coach is stuffed, the second coming of Jack Gibson would struggle here.

I don't think Benji should be coach, but I don't think a new coach changes much.

Two of our most recent coaches have won pretty much all the premierships since leaving. Neither were successful here. That should tell you all you need to know.

I don't know the answer but the problems are much deeper than the head coach.

Douelhi, if he stays, NSW Cup for the rest of 2026, barring injuries. Luai; offered to stand aside for youth; Selectors should act on that 'offer'. Madden & Andrews 1st grade halves + Latu after suspension. CEO ought to put 2005 alumni they have 6 weeks to save their jobs. Same no. of wins as 2025 &/or points difference same as 2025 else some, if not all,will be cut.

I think there have been extenuating circumstances this year..
I expect benji to learn from it.
But as many others have said, he needs the support around him. I doubt Wayne is all strategy and tactics.

Personally I think the distraction of money has gotten to a few of them.

Who would you have as coach?

I'm not going to write Benji off as a coach measured by this club - he is in pretty good company, and WTs are the constant not the coaches.

Keep bagging successful people who fail here while the club is a constant failure - that's what makes us the joke of the NRL and gives us zero credibility with anyone worth a pinch of salt.

Someone experienced that has no link to the Wests Tigers ....

The only person other person I would have is Brad Arthur


Has experience working with a damaged club with split personality disorders

Has had experience working with alot of islander players

Can build from the bottom up

Has taken a team to the GF

And comes across like a tough love coach


He would be my first choice and has had some time in the UK to refresh

johns as a halves mentor would be good

Anyone who dislikes johns didnt grow up watching him play.

The knights without him could lost by 40. The same team the following week with him would win by 40.

In my opinion, he is the greatest half to play the game. He was an innovator.

Wasnt he told he wasnt part of the clubs future plans, then went on to play another 6 or 7 seasons?
The club back then was a dogs breakfast... still is...

Our attack is so sideways it’s almost comical. Only Herbert was trying to straighten the attack yesterday, the rest ran straight across field passing to a bloke in a similar position. Easy to defend that rubbish.
The defence has always been garbage. It annoys me we cannot at least improve this.

You’ve nailed it Tucker! Complete clean out of all the assistant coaches, none of them are up to it !!
Without sound structures in place in attack and defence, players waste energy, enough said!!

As for attack, I'd be asking Adam Reynolds if hes interested, post-retirement. Not sure who else could be an option for attack at the moment though.
