Potter got such a raw deal when he was here. He had us on track for finals in 2014 until Farah decided to tank the season by mouthing off to Tallis. Payten was also actively trying to whiteant him as well.Moments like this make you wish Potter was still at the club. Not because he'd necessarily have the guts to drop Luai and Doueihi but because he'd have the guts to drop Benji too.
This side has no accountability. Right now, Benji looks like a coach who's completely out of his depth.
Weak selections. Weak standards. Weak leadership. The Tigers fans deserve better.
I'm hoping we don't face that this Sunday, cos that'd be terrible, that's a moray!O ,ok says a me o ,when a pizza pie hits you in the eye ,you just should have ducked
He did well as a quick fix after D Pay ? left the dogs .Tim the weather man shafted him also back in the dayPotter got such a raw deal when he was here. Potter would be a great assistant but Benji’s bruised ego would never allow it after Potter was the one to bench him and break up the original boys club.
We are such a narcissistic club, always wanting to make every NRL season all about us.We must be leading the press conference ladder, YTB
I thought it was a kebab shop lol. Most popular vape brand
Has been out of his depth since appointment. Clueless coach. Now laughing stock of NRL world.Moments like this make you wish Potter was still at the club. Not because he'd necessarily have the guts to drop Luai and Doueihi but because he'd have the guts to drop Benji too.

This is what happens when appointments are driven by sentiment instead of proven coaching credentials. Benji was fast tracked through the Sheens succession plan as one of the club's own, and the results have been exactly what many feared. The Tigers are paying the price for choosing nostalgia over merit. Every week the standards slip further, the same mistakes are repeated, and the club becomes an even bigger punchline across the NRL. Fans have been told for 15 years (2 generations of playing careers) to trust the process. Instead, they've watched the club drift backwards while top teams move further forward. Patience has long since turned into complacency.Has been out of his depth since appointment. Clueless coach. Now laughing stock of NRL world.
God I hope it’s Richo as a director of footballBenji said at the end of his presser today with Doohey … that “he is getting external help”…wonder what this is ? Assume it’s more than just having a phone call with Bennett once a month?
From the get go Benji appeared to have this idea that a group would perform better if members of the group competed with each other.Ive been thinking about the notion that Marshall plays favourites.
Personally, I think that its natural and not a problem as long as it falls within agreed performance standards. It comes with the territory when leading a group of people, all of whom are individuals with their own quirks.
You are always going to have some individuals that are reliable and motivated, and they will get the easiest level of supervision. Others will have to be supervised more closely and often not given the same level of freedom in decision making.
If favouring one player over another does not fall within agreed performance standards, you're introducing a recipe for failure. I dont know which applies here.
Probably someone in an ad hoc mentoring type role.God I hope it’s Richo as a director of football
My take at the time Benji was appointed that it was a classic "look over there" stunt to take the heat off management for spoon #2.
We were all looking forward to fairy tale ending with a Benji inspired and lead turn around of the team that we love but deep down we were expecting the mother of all train wrecks, bodies everywhere, the gnashing of teeth and endless tears.
Well here we are with spoon #3.
I cant say that I am exactly surprised.
The question though in my mind is Benji to blame for where our team sits on the ladder?
Had we had a magic wand and lets say Bellamy (or whichever super coach is your particular flavour) was appointed coach last year instead, with this roster, would things have ended up differently?
Will 2025 be any different? It is too early for me to answer that question.
I pine for the days that we finished 9th.
