If Benji continues, he is going to gi from one if the most loved figures ti the most hated. He could very well be the one that runs this clubs into the grave.

That upsets me as I remain a fan of Benji as a player and as a man.
I just cannot see how this ends well for him.
There are a few players currently who are not filling me with confidence that they are committed here. I think 2027 is going to be a very tough year.

Benji has given me some of my best moments as a fan. 05 and the WC.
But this is not working.
If you weren't concerned you wouldn't be paying attention.
Those stats will get worse this year

When has it been working?

The last 2 premiership winning coaches couldn’t make it work here.

I don’t think Benji is the answer but this is far deeper than the coach.

We all know where the main problem is at the club but unfortunately they can not be removed.

Things never end well for 99% of coaches. There rare exceptions are if your name is Bellamy, Bennett or Cleary. Things are going to end a lot sooner for Benji. We’re just treading water till he goes. Not that the next coach will necessarily do any better. But the bar is so low for them, that even getting us back to 9th might make him worthy of a statue.

I’ll keep saying till I’m blue in the face. If he’s not getting anything out of the players, who cares if they leave.

Depends if his game plans etc are part of the reason why the players are not performing (i.e many are critical that Benji can’t coach so must mean has a negative impact on the team/player’s performance).

Therefore if you believe Benji is an issue would see improvement with a better coach. Hasn’t helped us changing coaches previously

I think there is potential. What I’m saying though is a response to everyone clutching their pearls about how there will be a mass exodus. Okay, so let’s keep him then and continue to lose. Why would we then care if they want to leave if they’ll never win under Benji anyway.

One of our better signings in the past decade went on the internet (forever tv) and stated with conviction he has no loyalty to the club - only to the coach.

Funny thing is, despite his backers on here - that same player has been utter dog shit for most of the year post a big money, long term extension.

I don’t see it as a coincidence.

Roberts looks such a good prospect, gets the arm free, runs good lines and hard. I have no idea why he was dropped for this week.

We have some good young lads coming through, but it seems we're butchering their progression.

People use this argument a lot and I find it pretty stupid to be honest.
Ivan had to deal with “the big 3” leaving in 2017 and without them still managed a decent year in 2018 where he had a 50% record, finishing 9th. Had he not bailed, he likely could have seen success.
Madge was no world beater here but was also here during Covid and then got knifed before he had the chance to work with a team he had been building which included what most agreed were good signings.
These two are not comparable to Marshal who was completely set up to succeed with vastly superior squads and hugely experienced mentors and support in Sheens and Richardson.
Had either of them been set up like Benji has been, I have no doubt they both play finals…they certainly don’t get spoons.
