@underdog said:The fact that Potter is actively saying he wants to see Miller at 7 is LIGHT YEARS ahead of Sheens.
In fact, a lot of the sense he is making is light years ahead.
Just puts it into perspective doesn't it? And a game hasn't even been played yet.

Moltzen is a mystery for the future though, just where is he going to fit in to the puzzle once we get Teddy back? He never really showed any promise as a utility or a centre.
Yeah, but Meaney? You have a guy whose played about 10 fg games in 2 or 3 yrs in a leadership group ahead of guys like Galloway, Lote, Fulton and even Ayshford? maybe its because its 2 o'clock in the morning but that makes completely no sense at all
I've got this bad feeling Fulton won't be in the starting side ,possibly not even in the starting 17

@Cultured Bogan said:Hard to disagree there LaT. Why would you drop one of the two standout forwards in 2012? Most importantly, he's versatile and adds starch to our defence on the fringes. It's madness not to have him in the team.

Had a great 2012 because everyone else excluding 1-2 had a very poor year…
But you dont have to be Einstein to realise that if Fulton is one of our Best Forwards, we are no chance of making the 8!
Lets hope ALL our recognised Forwards have a Big Year!

Getting away from sheens and knowing that he has to compete for his spot may bring out the best in him. I have my severe doubts but still, I'm not discounting him just because of his previous deficiencies.

Just a trivia point about Lote is that most people don't know or have forgotten that he was the allocated goal kicker for Queensland in the State of Origin matches around 2003\. Talking of goal kickers West Tigers now have a good share of capable goal kickers to choose from in 2013 - Marshall, Benji and Anasta.

Good post, fergiefurr. I'm looking forward to seeing what all the players can do away from Sheens' directives and influence. Who knows, Moltz may actually turn out to be a fully committed and aggressive fullback, who plays with heart and attacks the high ball! Perhaps his timid and indecisive play was only a result of the confusing nature of Sheens' coaching. I'm sure a lot of the players didn't know if they were Arthur of Martha under Sheens at times. It's heartening to hear that Potter is actually thinking of starting the season, at least, with guys playing in their rightful positions, so maybe we will see Moltzen and co playing in a whole new light…or perhaps not lol.
