CODY WALKER JOINS SOUTH SYDNEY'S LIST OF GRUBS

I think a macho culture is essential in our game….its a brutal high collision tough sport, you dont succeed in this game not being tough/macho.
Its switching off and on when crossing the sideline thats the problem for some...that and the ''instant dickhead just add booze'' problem some people/players have

Yeah that's what I was getting at Ink. Being able to realise when the appropriate time is to buy into the culture. Just because it's OK to fire up at your opposition on the pitch, doesn't mean it's appropriate to give your missus a backhand because she rouses at you at home.

It's a difficult problem, one that can only be solved with leading by example and education.

I always wonder.. who called the police?
… does the partner want to press charges / formal complaint ?
why do people have to resort to violence?
me and my partner have heated arguments from time to time but I never feel the need to knock her out.
bit of yelling followed by some space and it's all sorted, no bruises.

honestly. no. idea.

Its cos a lot of guys are macho arseholes, which feeds into your last post about which players that you wouldn't be surprised seeing charged for these kinds of things. Id say well over half the players in the comp carry the chip on their shoulder of thinking their 10 ft tall and bullet proof, thinking they could get away with murder.

Yes very true GNR.Hate the mentality of SOME of these highly paid athletes.
