Concerns over Sheens-Marshall double act as Tigers civil war brews over Fulton

So Marshall wants Sezer while Fulton wants Jack Cogger. I reckon this is a choice people can get their teeth into.

I am actually really glad if Benji and Fulton are having conflict. The decision making with Benji I don't think is strong enough and we need someone who won't rubber stamp.

I voted for Cogger.

Mainly because I see Aiden Sezer as way past his prime.
Benji is probably a better judge then I am. Yet Aiden I saw as more of a 5/8 at the time. Unlike Brodie Croft, Aiden hasn't performed in the Super league... So No.

Cogger, Meh he seems to be a 5/8 and probably potential there or in the Centres. Unsure if he has the defensive guts that we really need in our backline. ...

Would prefer Cogger, but no to both.

Yea, Agreed. I don't get why Pete Peters is going to the media unless Scott Fulton asked him. Unless the old coote is trying to keep a relationship with the media, Fulton asked him.

If this is what Scott Fulton brings to the Tigers, then we should punt him. Unless Fulton can get Des to leave the Titans or bring Toovey over, we don't need this drama.

It also raises another point. Aiden Sezer used to play 5/8. Mainly for the Titans but in most games he is 5/8. ... For Canberra he was the Half under Ricky Stuart.

Ricky plays a very different game with his halves. I remember Ricky picking Ben Hornby over Jonathan Thurston.

Looking at Sezer's stats, he clearly has a good boot on him. I can see the work in Defense, just don't see any tries in him.

Sezer was like a slow George Williams. Has a good long kicking game from memory, and he kicks goals okay. Been a while since I watched him play so can't remember exactly how he plays but I remember him being just okay. "Just okay" might be good enough for our forward pack.

Anything is an upgrade on Wakeham/Smith I suppose.

All this over seizer v cogger doesn't seem right. Must be more to it.

The problem is, the player power is with Fulton and the player managers. Our roster will just be poorer without fulton.

Very very good point.

Particularly now that it is post Origin, Cogger needs a team that will give him first grade time.

But this isn't just Cogger.
Sam Walker should be on the market. Someone is going to take the fall at Easts.
Who took Dearden's spot at the Cows? Who's waiting for a First grade shot??

We can't be talking the Fainu brothers as the only people looking for new contracts or first grade time?

Yes, Benji own your team and get the people you want.

We all know though that Sezer is not the first, second or even third pick.
(being Pearce, Johnson, Townsend, Even Luke Brooks still. Heck I would take Brooks > Sezer and I don't want Brooks.).

Benji wants Sezer. Sezer is a journeyman and a discard. Flip it as others have pointed out he has made the finals at 7 and he can kick.

It's Benji's choice, of Benji's third or fourth choices. Stick to your guns but don't forget what you really want.

Sorry.. Sezer‘s age is a factor… and he is not representative half like the others you have mentioned…so there is no point comparing him with those guys…He is terribly slow which is a problem we have all over the backline ..

Cogger is not much better really…

Short answer - they both suck and neither will do much to improve the team..
 
Not a fan of the either.
But both are marginally better than what we having running around,no disrespect to Walkeham,not many halves would look good in our current predicament.I’m not saying he’s a solid first grader but he has provided a few solid moments for what most NRL fans would consider one of the worst halves in the comp .
I voted Cogger,but that was before The Panthers game yesterday afternoon.He was one of the weaker players in that squad that’s for sure .
As for Sezer I haven’t watched him since the 2019 GF.As an older half he might be able to steer a team around.Someone like Fainu would compliment his game.
