Collis - Officially GONE

He is a real talent and it is dissapointing to see him go after so much development has gone into his career.

It seems Stuart has realised that back rowers in the centres is a failure.

I would not put him back in top grade uless we have to now though.

was thinking that. he may have played his last game of first grade for the tigers.

Im a bit disappointed because when he is fit, he is a very good player which could come back to haunt us if he does well at Cronulla.

But in saying that, he never is fit!! And we do have some options there.

Plus, we were all calling for the cleanout and we're getting it. Tagive, Morris, Collis, McDonnell are all gone, Harrison, Hodgo, Flanagan, Fulton and Teo left last year, while Payne and Halatau dont look like staying either.

I think what we all want now is that, with these players gone, we want some quality to replace them and tbh, we havnt got that yet although this talk about Burgess from the ESL could be promising.

I'd doubt it, Sheens will more than likely name him tomorrow if he is passed fit.

Good luck to Collis. With all the injuries he's had he just did'nt really kick on with us but now with Morris & Collis gone we should have room to sign a quality prop

Good our recruitment and retainment are pathetic

Only other good players on the market close to collis talent are michael lett keith lulia and cooper vuna, so unless we have some you guns in lower grades i dont see why he wasnt retained

The club hasn't exactly got value for money from Collis over the last two years so that probably had something to do with it.

in reality, we've lost 2 injury prone potential outside backs.
signed one injury prone outside back.

let go a no frills hooker (Morris), and signed….

like i said, i hope this is leading somewhere.

A junior rep prodigy that never lived up to the hype and expectation. Never really made the transition to First Grade, struggled with consistency, struggled with injury and lacked confidence season after season. Sad to see a junior go, but he was treading water for many years. Will Wests miss him? I don't think so. I look at the likes of Lawrence, Ayshford, Jake Clarke, Pritchard, Davis, Akeripa there's even Moltzen who has proved that he can handle life as an outside back. The depth and talent is there for the future. Good luck to him at the Shire based club. A new start may in fact be good for both parties.

Yes, I am Sorry to see him go, as I do everytime we lose players, who have come up through the lower grades. However, it may prove to be the best thing for Dean and the Club. Good luck, Dean.

I agree, a change of scenery may do him wonders.
all the best Dean, for your sake I would like to see you re-caputure the good form that had you picked for rep honors. in saying that of course i wish to you play bad against west  :unamused: s-tigers

Now its official, if he comes straight back into the team this week after weeks out ahead of Ayshford it will be a disgrace.

Bye bye Dean, hopefully you've played your last game for the Tigers.

He should have played his last game given the circumstanses….get fully fit in reserve grade....he could be handy if we resurect '09 come the backend of the year...

Ayshford should stay in the centres for the rest of the year without doubt...

P.S. love the avatar...is that your little bloke...

Under peformer for a few years now. We were promised a clean out and are getting it.

totally agree, he is stale, and needs a change of scenery, he will probaby go good at cronulla, all the best to the lad!

This is hte best thing that could happen for Dean and WT. He is a quality player that (for a few reasons) has not gone on to what was expected of him. Im sure Dean would be disapointed with his form of the past couple of seasons and the new start will be just what he needs.

Good luck Dean I wich you the best of luck and hope you find you feet again, just not against us!!
