The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are pleased to announce that they have secured the services of Asipeli Fine, through until the end of 2018.

Fine joins the club from the Wests Tigers, where he made his NRL debut in season 2014, playing two games at the top level. Since then, he has been plying his trade in the Intrust Super Premiership and he will be looking to push for some more NRL matches whilst here at the Bulldogs.

The 23-year-old is a back rower who played his junior football for the Mascot Jets and in his time as a professional footballer, has also played one Test match for Tonga in 2014.

Very good player but could end up a brides maid again over at Belmore, but maybe he has been offered better coin to be a brides maid. Anyway good luck to him, he deserves a decent break

A shame to see him go but the Dogs don't lack in the forwards dept. so he may have a tough run trying to play FG there.

Frees up some cap space, unfortunately was never gonna get a proper go here, wish him all the best at the Doggies!

Cant keep them all but boy this kid was given the rough end of the pineapple. Wish him all the best even though I hate the dogs!

Good luck Asipeli…never let us down in the FG games you played ...backbone of the State Cup team ...you will be missed there...

Hope you do see more FG...

Would always know that you'd get 100% effort out of him, unfortunately can't keep them all if we want to continue adding new stock. I'm Fine with it.

Personally, I really liked Fine (& Sitaleki for that matter)

Met both the dudes in Canberra a few years ago when the Tigers had a game down there and I was in the area on busienss. Bumped into 'em at one of the shopping centres - was surprised at how tall they both were - they looked like NBA players to be honest.

Really wish him the best - good player, under rated and won't let anyone down.
Dogs are stacked with 2nd rowers though and as TigerTorch said - they were offering pretty much what he was alredy on here, same deal - so maybe he wanted to try his luck elsewhere but all the best to him.

I see what you did there

Actually I don't think his surname is even pronounced like that, pretty sure I just made an ass of myself haha

In all honesty he was never really in the mix in terms of first grade unless we were severely depleted

Not really 😕

gee if u cant break into the tigers pack u got no chance at the dogs, they must be paying top dollar for NSW cup players. maybe he should have spoke to lamar before going as he has not seen any 1st grade either.

I reckon Fine is better than Lamar….
Doubt either of em will see a start over there but alas, all the best.
