Moses showed what he had to offer on the weekend against a quality side. It's one thing to cripple bash Brisbane who were never going to do anything in the finals to actually doing something against one of the sides that will likely take the whole thing out.

I know we've all raged about it but apart from last year where the 8 was spread out over 2 comp points it is rarely the case and there is a glaring discrepancy in performance between the teams that finish in the top 4 versus the teams below them. They really should look at having a 6 team finals comp as whoever finished 7th and 8th did not deserve to be there (I'd be saying the same for us,) and were fodder for the other teams.

we can be salty for as long as we want. But im of the firm belief we should of kept moses and let brooksy go. But we had no choice.

I'm sick of players and other clubs taking the piss out of us. We need to send the message that we won't be screwed around with and if Matterson wants a "more professional club" make him learn a lesson in professionalism for 2 more years in 2nd grade.

You got buckleys and none of thinking we'll play him in CC. Zero chance.

He's a waste of space both as a human and our salary cap let him go.

Letting him go is a better outcome than playing him in CC. It sounds like a good idea to spite him, but its a waste of a top 30 spot, plus 350-450 languishing in CC. Also, if you think he's bad now, just wait till he's in CC for 2 years. Imagine the potential poison that could create.

He was garbage mate, he threw two intercepts, fell off tackles, Christ he is the first player I've seen land shoulders first after being palmed off. He had nothing. If that was Brooks we'd be calling for his head.

He has had great games this year, but when soon as it came to playing a side who can go all the way, he went to water.

I agree that Mitch has more X-factor about him. Our next target needs to be a partner that compliments Brooks, and having that dynamic element is crucial.

And just on the topic of contracts and players being "rightfully" able to seek more, if you engage a builder to build a two homes for you, he builds the first to a good standard & in accordance with the terms of the contract and he comes back to you and says "since I did a good job, can you pay me double now for the second one?" CB agree. The problem is the agents play the Depression card, leak false rumours and the locker room becomes negative. Tigers are playing this smart let him show his cards as to where he wants to sign and try get something out of a bad situation. The players won’t want him on the team with intentional leaks on the team, coach and the club.

Oh so you're talking variations to the contract. Hiring a bloke to play first grade footy and he's playing first grade footy isn't a variation to the terms. Asking him to play first grade footy and run the marketing department is a variation.
