Its funny PP , I saw the current PGA CEO interviewed by David Feherty on his own show only last week and he was asked that exact question

He said they have had a few numskulls (John Daly anyone ) , but in most cases the players are taught the rules and etiquette of Golf usually from an older relative or a member of a Golf Club

They understand respect and the youngsters carry that on throughout there careers

Look at all the Golf Champions all class acts Trevino ,Player ,Nicklaus ,Palmer

Competitors to the very end , but absolute class rings out

Yes Happy, as a golfer since I was a young boy I can say that is quite true.

Mind you, tennis 30 years ago was played in a totally different manner to what it is now. Dont know where it went off the rails, but it sure has.

He's overcome quite a lot at a very young age. His father died when he was 12, lost 8 members of his family to the typhoon in the Philipines a few years back, had an issue with alcohol, and he's from Queensland.

Credit to him for not only reaching the elite level but being a humble and likeable bloke to go with the success.
