Contracted Players List...Unofficial

I would disagree. I rate Beetham as a prospect but no clubs are chasing his signature. A decent deal with the Magpies will secure him with the club. Not to mention Gower playing out of position at prop against the Pies outplayed Beetham

Akeripa, Gower, Mataka, Pritchard and Farlow on the other hand have real offers to consider from other clubs if WT come up with nothing.

Especially when Woods and Lui and being put in the top 25 it seems when both still qualify for NYC contracts.

Davis is very similar to Taylor from last years Pies squad and he was unable to get a run in front of the ineptitude that is Millard during the injury to Idris.

Does anyone aside from me & smeg understand supply & demand?

You don't throw money at someone if they are not in demand by your competitors!!!!! That is why Gallant has struggled for so long & why we unfortunately let Jeff Lima go to France & be picked up by the Storm for bugger all in 2006.

That is also why so many fans question the amount we have paid to retain a player without considering that it was all due to the fact that other clubs were offering equal or more cash!

I do have some time for Davis by the way - but Ayshford is a much better prospect. As for Woods & Lui - they'll be our backbone for years if your stop bitching about 23 year olds who missed the boat!

Also - I know Millard from his Renown United days & he has alot more to offer than Davis as the Super League worked out genius. And have a look at the Newtown game last week & tell me if Davis, Akeripa, Pritchard or EVEN Daine Laurie looked 1st grade standard fool! Even Leo Epifania would disagree w/ you!

Todays tele said Lui was contracted to the end of 2011,with the club having an option for 2012.
Simmons was quoted as saying Lui and Marshall are the clubs halves heading into the future, also said Lui has the spot to lose, and will not play many more lower grade games for the club.

So What is our squad for 2010 looking like now

Moltzen
Tuiaki
Ayshford
Lawrence
Ryan
Daniella
Mitch Brown
Marshall
Lui
Gallant
Lazarus
Tomato
Gibbs
Galloway
Payten
Hieghinton
Ellis
Schirnack
Schirnack
Dwyer
Fulton
Laurie
Mataka

So that leaves 2 positions at least open as I'm not sure if Tomato, Lazarus & Gallant have top 25 spaces or not

Have I missed any

you missed Farah lol

Oops lol

Well that leaves one position as far as I can see so either we re-sign Payne or Galea assuming the backs I mentioned are all on top 25 contracts or we sign a front rower (please) although Mayby Skando will have another run

yes it was Aaron , my understanding is Tame Tupou isnt on a top 25 contract

You don't need to be a top 25 contracted player to play for the WT…so does it matter if Tame Tupou isn't on the top 25 list?

Does anybody have a clue as to how many players we currently have signed for next season?? Because alot of names such as Burgess and Turqiri as well as Flanagan are closed to being signed… therefore could only come to the assumption we have 2-3 spots remaning?

I still think some of those players mentioned as top 25 signings will be on second tier contracts and part of a top 30 squad.
