What are Gibb's average metres per run as opposed to any other forward at the club?

7.83 metres, which is better than every forward bar Galloway. (ie. better than Ellis/Heighington/Payten etc.)

Whats his average metres per run not including kick returns, ie. easy metres.

He hardly ever takes the ball from the kick off…..Anyway the less times he has too the better

Although many of you don't like Halatau. If Sheens started him at lock he would make more meters than every foward except for KG.

I wonder how many people actually realise Gibbs is averaging more metres per game than Galloway this year. Yes, Galloway's stats are a little short changed because of the lack of minutes he played last week, but it does show Gibbs is doing quite well.

There's also the myth that he gives away the most penalties. Payten, Morris, Halatau, and Heighington have all conceded more penalties.

I still think we need another good front rower or 2, but not at the expense of Gibbs IMO. Someone like Ben Ross, John Kite, Garret Crossman could do the job. I'm not expecting us to be signing an Asotasi or a Price.

8\. Gibbs/Ross
10\. Galloway

16\. Laurie
17\. Kite/Gibbs/Crossman

This would be fine with me.

I don't understand how John Kite is getting no game time at the dogs…. As for Gibbs... Absorbs pressure in defence, but his attack is non-existent.

Whan was the last time he bent the line enough to start a roll on with a speedy and efffective PTB?

I know he is averaging 98 metres per game which is actually higher than Galloway who is averaging 95 metres. The only Tigers forward who is averaging over 100 metres is Heighington, and I think Ellis might be, but just. But we all know Heighnos workrate in attack is high.

Yeh… It takes him 20 hit ups to get their though.

Thought we would start with a new contract list….As I understand it Wests Tigers for 2010 have 16 contracted players...7 players coming off contract...

I have not included Gallant or Skandalis as I believe they are on Match payments with Wests Tigers and contracted to Wests....

I have omitted Morris, Tagive and have not included Fulton until I receivce something that resembles Official from the Club.....

Please feel free to update or make corrections if I have made a mistake our omitted/included anyone in our top 25...

Who knows maybe we can keep better account than current Wests Tigers Management...

It is pleasing to note that none of our gun players are off contract next year. I reckon get rid of Halatau, Trimarchi, Galea, Payne and Hanbury… This free up plenty of handy money on our salary cap 2 of the five aren't even playing off the bench. :unamused:

Mitch Brown
Date of Birth : 7 November, 1987
Height : **188 cm**
Weight : **97 kg**
Position : Fullback/Wing/Centre
\
\
Name: Shannon Paul Gallant
Data Of Birth: 26/02/1986
Position: Full-back
Junior Club: Campbelltown City Kangaroos
Weight/Height: **77kg kg / 175cm cm**
NRL Debut: 22nd July 2007 - Wests Tigers vs New Zealand Warriors, Campbelltown Sports Stadium

I know what I prefer in an outside back. Height, size and speed. Brown has all three. Gallant has speed.

I think he does strenghten the squad. He will not be on big money so let's give the guy a chance.

Updated….18/7/09

Daniela and Brown both signed 2 year contracts...July 09 commencing...2010

Am claiming Tupou cause Royce told me so on WTV....

Have ommitted Mataka as I can find nothing official or in the media that says Willie is on a top 25 contract but I'm sure he is part of Sheens gameplan for at least 2010...

That still leaves Halatau, Payne, Galea, Trimarchi, Dunley and Hanbury unsigned from '09....6 spots up for grabs.....

Thoughts anyone?

My thoughts are that I wouldn't care if all of them went elsewhere. Probably Trimarchi is the only one I'd consider keeping.

What about Tuiaki, he's our go to guy in the backs.

175cm  yea rite!

@Staks said:
yeh 175 would be correct. I'm 178cm and he is about the same height as me.

i was very close to him for a bit yesterday at the magpies game and i am definately taller than he is

Does anyone know if Liam Fulton is confirmed for next year?? That would give only 5 places to be filled for next year.

Not sure what's doing with Liam at the moment. No word from the Tigers on who else may be leaving/joining the club.
