A parting gift from Humpty and Sheens were back ended contracts to some players we have on our books was one of the reasons we could not match the Raiders offer.

Its also disappointing to know that these players are not worth the money they are earning.Also what annoys me is Ayoub was saying it's not about the money which is a load of shit.

The NRL is a business but I hope the NRL look at this and give clubs salary cap concessions regarding their Juniors so we can keep them.

imo, it wasnt the salary cap or even the lack of money the main reason for us not offering teddy a bigger contract. it was simply that we didnt think he was worth more than whatever we offerred him tbh.

but yeh you're absolutely right. NRL made a slight modification to the junior salary cap concession/long term player but that was very minimal modification iirc.

loyalty is not rewarded well in the NRL.

I think if you have more than 10 plus local juniors (players in your system from15) you should get an additional $500,000 to $750,000 per year bonus on your salary cap. The NRL need to more reward clubs that produce the talents not those that raid other clubs.
