Benji will coach as good as anyone if he has a decent roster to work with.
You could have Bellamy and Bennett both coaching our current side and we’d still be last.

That is one of the rare few comments you have made over the years that i completely disagree with.Benji was a magnificent player at his best but played on instinct for his entire career and i can not see him being a success as much as i would like him to be

Agree 100%. I haven't liked the Benji appointment from the get-go. He was a wonderfully instinctive footballer at his best but I've never seen him as a thinking, scheming player along the lines of a Cronk. It's my view that the Cronk type of player makes the best coaches.

My issue with coach benji is he thinks too good about people, a few comments where he said x is a great player when they are really not. We've seen this year team selections have been questionable. Don't think he is ruthless enough with people for a coach.

Maybe it’s more like he thinks everybody loves him and wants to be part of the action with him as coach.
Haven’t seen or heard anything to confirm that is the case. No major signings etc from all those players who we’re told “want to be coached by Benji”.

What about using some of this war chest to sign Bennett then ? Coming off contract and Benji loved playing for him, According to some reports I've read Tim's health isn't the best and being Benji's Meatshield can't be helping. Tim's looking weary but he has in my opinion done whatever was needed that he could do. These guys have done some good things and brought in some very good players and recognised some good young prospects but before Benji takes over maybe another couple years apprenticeship under Benny ? Just a thought.. Go you Tigergods !!

Sounds like a plan that almost got over the line years ago but think even Bennett will have had enough after this season. New coach already in place for Phins, Wayne can ride off into the sunset ( well deserved).
And PS Tim looks very poorly, I don’t think he needs all this crap at this stage of his life. Very foolish imo to put himself in the front line when all we wanted was him to oversee the Footy Operations.
Can you see Gould doing what he’s done ! Madness in his 70s.

I think Sheens is just there to attract all the flak instead of Benji for Benji's first couple of years as coach.
I you look at the game day coaches box it's Benji doing all the talking. Sheens is a human red herring.

Yeah true but I thought Bennett says he never wants to quit coaching . I see the off into the sunset finale, but how about riding off after fixing the unfixable? Also someone who would put club ahead of media and all other shit. I believe we are only a few players off being so much more competitive and maybe Benny could recognise and plug in the defensive holes.

I’d love to see it but just don’t think it’s a possibility.

But if you look at him I think it’s taking its toll . And if Benji is doing all the talking then we’ve got nothing to look forward to unless they rebuild the team quick smart.
Just look at the difference a fairly pedestrian half back made to the Dogs last night.

And he's using every trick he can to try to keep the questions on himself other than Benji or the Boys. I know everyone got they differing opinions of Tim but if you can't see he's experienced enough to know which are the bullshit media questions that need to be answered or ignored seeing the agenda crap inexperienced coaches get tripped up on. Hearing a stupid question and ignoring it and turning the focus onto the refs is a classic. But watching preseason vids where he was still enthusiastic and excited to be back to NQ 2nd game presser frustration is so different. How the fark have we changed this much in a month? I know we all knew Apis loss will be immense but the players started to stop doing any small things to help ea other. A win at all cost mentality is needed across the team not just the proven older experienced players. There's only so much the coaching staff can drill into them, I've never seen a coach drop an important pass , or miss an easy tackle. But each one is obviously wearing on Tim.
