Corey Patterson

I am not sure if there's a post already but he could be a Smokey for us this year (or a lemon).
Have a look at his highlights (its 6 mins and worth it)
He has great hands, solid hard hitting defence, plays on the left edge (centre at times)

Ive always like Paterson and saw him carve up in ESL early last year….Simona Teddy & Koro on his outside will revel in his ball playing

Ive been surprised by the lack of talk on him.

IMO he is the type of player we have sorely lacked…ie a big mobile ball playing backrower.

I always rated him in the nrl and his form in ESL is top shelf.

Cant wait to see him on the left edge.....and the boys outside him should go off!!

Is he the closest thing to the most missed forward - Gareth Ellis??
Fingers crossed - geez he bashed that fella in his boxing debut

If my memory serves me correct Patterson couldn't cut it in Wayne Bennett's eyes and taupau wasn't good enough to nab a regular bench spot at the dogs.

Not holding my breath. But hoping to be proven wrong

More excited about brown and Lovett

Agree.
I don't think that these guys are going to be superstars or else their old clubs would have kept them.

I do, however, think that they will be solid performers for us.

Sometimes theres things behind the scenes that contribute to a player not reaching his potential…this has been the case with Corey. Like i have previously said, if his head is right he will go very well

Cory did hit a form slump at the back end of his NRL career, then went to the ESL and was very successful. If he can build on this he could be exactly what we need in our back row!

If not, we only have him on a 1 year deal and we have other youngsters coming through (Siro, BMM, Lovett)

I think he is another Bodeen Thompson class of player, but I could be selling him a little short. The one good thing is, this is probably his last real chance to crack it in the NRL so motivation should be high. The big question is, has he enough class to nail it

For mine, he is a dud buy but as my good friend STT rates him, I'm willing to back him.
GO COREY !!!!

He is no dud buy,by mid year everyone will be a fan, just hope the Weststigers have re-signed him by then.

Yeah, he was ousted from the knights…
I think you will find that was to make room for Smith and Scott!!!

He was good for the Cows, But they had Sims and co coming through... So he had to find a quick option.
Much like he has done with us... He'll be one of our best backrowers net year... Not that that says much!!
