If you are not concerned you should be because like all viruses it will mutate.Hopefully it will not become like the spanish flu did after WW1 and become a pandemic killing millions of all ages before it mutated out of existence

Over 90% of the population of PNG have been exposed to Malaria, on our doorstep. No doubt the malarial mosquito will find its way to Australia if it already hasn't.
Also 7 PNG nationals die per week from snake bite - the Papuan black snake
