I may be being a bit of a Cassandra here, but I see a slightly concernning trend in the data ATM.

The rate of growth of new cases has been constantly dleclining since the restrictions came in and we got the rate of new cases down very low and numbers of new cases down to around 10 a day or lower,

Last 4 days has been a slight but steady increase with numbers of new cases progressing from 7, 14, 16, 18 and the multiplier has steadily increased from 1.001 to 1.003.

Still incredibly small numbers but concerning that the trajectory is now up.

Im just saying....new cases up yesterday from 18 to 24. New cases up everyday for 5 days now. The multiplier is up from 1.001 5 days ago to 1.0035 today.

It would be such and Aussie thing to do to get that close and then go ""Yeah close enough"

When I get in my car my Bluetooth automatically overrides any other apps to connect with the car’s system, giving me hands free phone music etc. even if I foreground the COVID-19 app my iPhone will background it. Of course the alternative is for me to travel without coms and foreground the COVID-19 app when people are getting close. Not too sure how the app interacts with Bluetooth other than to recognise other phones maybe?

Saw a article saying that China said the virus started here ??

Delusional

I am very curious to know what article is making the claim that China has blamed us for the virus. It sounds very much like a urban myth to me.

sorry ive looked and cant find the article

apologies

Thats ok because yesterday i spent ages going through as many sources of the media as i could both left wing right wing and mainstream and found no reference to it.I certainly dont trust totalitarian regimes in the slightest but it just didnt sound correct.Certainly there is a war of words between us and China atm and maybe it stems from that but it is also the sort of thing that the hate fueled Hansons party would say to cause even greater problems and i couldnt even find evidence of that.
Thanks for your response

I tried to find it as well, I'm usually pretty good at tracking down an article but could find no reference to it. I think if it was a genuine comment it would have been picked up by a lot of the media outlets. I'm not question @TheDaBoss just not sure where he heard it.

yea i cant find it either

the only explanation i can think of is that i might of misread another article and confused myself by thinking it was Australia instead of something else

The Chinese have stated a number of times that it started in the US, its easy to do with so much information and misinformation flying around atm. It's lucky more people haven't injected disinfectant.

I'm sure I heard or read something about it

I'm even having a mental blank about the pollie who was questioned about it and walked out mid presser .....

I'll have another look around for it this afternoon if no one has found it by then.

China blames the US because it was a US citizen and wife of a high ranking US military officer working in Wuhan lab who then passed the virus to her husband.

I thought it was the Chinese ambassador to Australia it that helps @cochise

He made ONE empty threat. Seems to be China’s paranoia coming to the fore... crazy irrational words

I’ll cut them some slack, personally - any that deserve and have earned the right to comment.

Anybody else; you’re doing great please keep up!

You’re such a dull... I was talking about the Chinese commentator who said the remarks you and DaBoss loosely referred to, don’t get your knickers twisted.

I was referring to ambassador only, or other actual politicians. You’re doing great Hap.

I wasn't arguing for or against what he said .....was helping them find the story ...some were claiming it didn't happen or hadn't heard about it ...simples

So the app isn't operational and there's been reports that it has been messing up other important apps in people's phones such as a blood sugar app for people with diabetes.
***The advice*** for people with important health apps on their phones is to uninstall the Covid19 app (it doesn't work anyway).

What a joke

Which advice is that?

The advice of anyone with important health apps on their phones that this useless app is interfering with. Ask Mighty Tiger

They're qualified to proffer this advice?
It.looked.like you're suggesting this advice.

Why is it only affecting health apps?

Not overly worried at the increase at this stage as testing has also dramatically increased, so of course the more you test the more you will find. This is a good thing.

Maybe, but my memory of it is that testing ramped up a couple of weeks ago. Time will tell. Hope Im worrying over nothing.
