Vic
725 cases
15 deaths
The deaths were:

one male in his 30s
three males and one female in their 70s
three males, three females in their 80s
three males, one female in their 90s
12 linked to aged care

There are 7,227 total active cases and total active cases with a connection to aged care are 1,435.
There are currently 538 people in hospital and 42 of those people are receiving intensive care.

We have companies in Victoria looking for loopholes so they can continue working. This mentality is why the cases in VIC are still increasing. Some down there just don’t get it.

The founder of Jim's mowing basically said they would breech the regulations and would pay workers fines.

He was specifically targeted by Andrews. I don't believe it will end well for him.

So they should. Shutting down lawnmowing services is insane. You can mow your own lawn but not pay someone to do it?

I have to make the observation that the empathetic words of the NSW Premier towards our fellow Australians living in Victoria are a welcome relief from those of the Qld Premier. People are dying, jobs are being lost, families torn apart. It is time to demonstrate some compassion.

I would imagine she is gaining more votes than she is losing - Qlders agree with her on locking everyone out.

check out Professor Thomas Borody and his clinical trial Ivermectin (a drug which the clinical evidence shows is not statistically effective) for treating covid19.
Professor is an Australian who provided the cure for peptic ulcers in 1987.
interesting read heard him on the radio stating in the u.s. he cant get a look in thanks to Dr Fauci and the like. Dont think it is in the Democrats best interest to get a treatment too soon it spoils the plan.
Hope our governemnt takes a look as trials in Bangladesh have been good.

Same as McGowan in WA. He's gonna romp it in.

Yeah, I don’t think that is going to go the way Jim’s mowing thinks. He is just one example of why things in Victoria have gone pear shaped.

No you can’t. Physical distancing is the only weapon that currently works against Covid19. While the act itself of mowing the lawn is probably safe enough it’s what people do in between the act of mowing the lawn that will have an will impact. How many people do they come in contact in the process? If they pick up Covid19, they are probably travelling from one location to another and therefore spreading the virus far and wide.

The thrust of what the Vic Govt. is trying to do is to simply reduce the amount of movement within our society. They're not saying that someone mowing your lawn is likely to infect you with Covid 19. They're saying, unless you are an essential worker, go home and stay home for the next six weeks.

I feel sorry for the Jim's mowing franchise holders. Their founder is probably damaging their businesses with those types of statements. He can afford it. Most of them can't.

The Jim's Mowing CEO is a Liberal party member from way back.

He has no real interest in anything other than sinking the political boot in and making a few bucks.

True story, he even sacked his own sister once to save a bit of money.

Looks like Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon has been taking advice from Aaron Woods, when talking about the Covid deaths in America he said “it is what it is”.
Just shows what a low life he is.

Its pretty simple logic and unarguable, but her arrogance defies the old "there but for the grace of God go I".

Rubbish, there is no reason to get within 2m of anyone when mowing their lawns. It is ridiculous over reactions like this that result in people saying "screw this" and defying the lockdowns.

It is entirely possible to safely operate this business and for no logical reason, peoples livelihoods are being burned.

There maybe no reason to but I can guarantee with 100% certainty that some would absolutely do that. It’s human nature. That’s why they are being locked down because people simply would not follow good practices. Ie not going to work after testing positive or when sick.

IMO, "human nature" is precisely the reason Lawnmowing services should be permitted. It is easy to do safely and is an easy method to allow some people to continue to make a living and save their businesses. Human nature is that if they are told what to do and it makes no sense and seems unreasonable, human nature is to ignore it.

In theory it's safe until one of them realises their back teeth are floating or have a case of the green apple splatters and use someones toilet who might unknowingly be infected. Boom, another cluster on the go.
