I was expecting better protocols in place to inspect vax status at some places I visited yesterday in Liverpool. I will be very cautious about where I go for a few more weeks based on that.
no idea why you got down voted
i went to good guys to finally change over to telstra and had to wait 10 minutes at the door whilst some moron complained saying he was vaxxed but didn't have the certificate, then changed the story to he isn't on medicare so can't show the certificate. huge unit of a bloke against a small skinny security guard, thought for sure he would let him in, but to his credit turned him away multiple times
considering 90% of stuff can be purchased online there isn't a great need to rush out to the shops (says me who went to the good guys on freedom day on the way home from work)
You need vax pass to go to Good Guys? I assumed it was just restaurants & pubs etc. To go into a shop you need a vax pass?
The government cannot mandate compulsory vaccinations so they are putting the onus on businesses to ensure all who enter are vaccinated.
Yes retail require vaccination status to be checked. The exceptions are for essentials, like pharmacy and supermarkets. Go figure the logic in that.
Shopping centres themselves, it is up to the owners. Westfield have stated you have to be doubled vaxxed to get into their centres and have placed security guards at some centres to check and are refusing entry to those that are not.
Can't remember the last time I went to a Westfield shopping centre, but wouldn't at least some of them have a Woolworths or a Coles supermarket inside.
If that is the case, they wouldn't be allowed to deny access for those that are not vaccinated with out good reason because it is regarded as essential, although some would say they wouldn't feed the fools and that they deserve to starve.
