Our emergency services quickly and orderly respond to emergencies in our communities wherever and whatever they are, and so too, must our government and it's related agencies respond quickly to the new variants of concern (VOC) in this pandemic.

On the 26th of Nov. When the WHO had declared omicron as a new variant of concern (VOC), one country, Israel acted swiftly by shutting it's borders to all foreigners, and rightfully so, because Israel knows that shutting the borders to a selected few countries won't be enough, and Israel knows that the current vaccinations will not be effective against this new variant, and so they are taking undelayed precautionary measures and will reopen their borders when they know it's safe to do so.

So, what has Australia's attitude been since the declaration of this new VOC?

The following comment by Mr Hazzard sums up the attitutude by Aust. Govt. sufficiently,

Mr Hazzard said "clarity from the federal government was needed on whether international borders would be closed to help determine what NSW’s response should be"

I say this, The politicians should know by now that a declaration of a new VOC also means a declaration of another emergency in this pandemic, and so we must react quickly and swiftly.

I now believe that this government is not capable of preventing another crisis as we have seen with the Delta variant, they can only pretend that they are managing a crisis after they themselves have created it, and then penalising the poor citizens $1000, and $11,000 for breaching covid rules, when the real reason was that it was the Govt. who were incompetent the whole time before each crisis.

My wife's sisters family all got it. I think a couple of guys at my gym have had it. My son's school has had two outbreaks so far.

People are definitely catching it and people are dying from it. It isn't the black plague and that is a good thing.

Some people think the system which consists of the education system, the scientific bodies and processes that we've put in place across the world, the medical system etc is there to save lives in situations like this.

Imagine the people who studied epidemiology years ago and the people who are so smart they work in clinical research producing medicines like anti-viral agents and vaccines amongst other amazing work. Imagine actually believing that the vast vast majority of those people are just there to control you.

I am watching a show on the universe. It's amazing how advanced we are and the smart people that are in the world.

Scientists sending satellites to the sun and taking pictures and sending it back to understand it.
