FFS I love the older generation as much as anyone. F$&k I’m next in line, you don’t think that resonates? If this was Ebola or some strain that killed 50% it’d be different. But it’s not. It kill’s old and or sick people. EVERYTHING kills old and sick people. It’s called life. Where does this end?
I remember when I was a 10yo kid, doing backflips of the 10m tower at Leichhardt pool. Back then the rule was if you climbed up, you weren’t allowed down unless you jumped. These days you need a diving degree to use the 1m board.
My point is that the choice and freedom to express yourself and experience the results of YOUR decisions has been systematically eroded within my lifetime, to a point where I’m now arguing to maintain any form of individuality.
Im an old dad and I have a young daughter who I want desperately to have as good if not better childhood experiences as I did. But when I think about it there’s no way she will because she’s not allowed to be herself. And that makes me really sad. Because I did. And you’re pop did. But now she’s gotta think about them, so she can’t.
Freedom is the thing that separates us from the pack. Real freedom is what it means to be human.
I mean I can choose not to be here anymore if I don’t don’t want to. It sounds morbid but that’s what real freedom is. You can’t control other people, and nor should you. It’s winning and losing. Ying and Yang. You can’t win by trying not to loose.

Ah Leichhardt pools! Grew up in that water! Always too scared to go up to the diving up there. It’s so high!!

They were the days ?

I think the vaccine did work against Delta and it showed it in the fact the cases started to drop as NSW went on the Vaccine blitz.

Same time we were all isolated from each other.

Good post mate.
The ‘peer reviewed’ science seems pretty conclusive on natural immunity being more effective then the vaccines.
Not sure why the FDA would claim otherwise? Maybe they have ‘other’ science?
Interesting that the Israeli data shows previously infected people are 56% more likely to experience ‘severe adverse affects’ when vaccinated!
That would surely be a huge stress on the medical system. Maybe they should consider imposing a levy on anyone who’s unfortunately been infected due to the unfair burden they pose to the medical system when they roll up the sleeve to take one for the team?

Pretty sure we’ll get crickets from the usual suspects on this.

Nothing to see here 🙄

I have something that will blow your mind. No one has pre-existing immunity for Covid-19. If you want immunity you have to catch the virus first. You need a large population to catch the virus to gain immunity. Or you could skip that step and get the vaccine. SCIENCE is amazing isn't it.

And then when it mutates your natural immunity will stop working and you will have to start the herd immunity process again. I'm glade I got taught this in school ( I honestly am).

Did they teach you how to listen?
He states that the natural immunity from the original strain seems to hold up against Delta.
Or maybe you didn’t bother to watch before blabbing away.

Are you an idiot?.. no don’t answer that.
Read my comments and then work it out.
Hint.., It’s about the ‘impose a levy’ crap your idiot mays were jibbering on about dopey ?
Fishing with dynamite, seriously ??

I hope everyone understands this. In a conversation on COVID and focusing on vaccines we need to understand that vaccines create an immune response. Then if you come into contact with COVID you have less chance of catching it and you you have a lower chance of getting really sick.

There is no natural immunity. COVID is a novel (new) virus so humans haven't developed immunity.

Yes science is amazing.

One other point I'd make is that there is no narrative in science. Science is just facts/data/reality. So if new facts/data/reality come up and change the picture well the science changes.

Narratives are stating stuff like COVID isn't real or 99.95% of people have no effects or vaccines don't work. Those are narratives.

Maybe the old one but the new viruse has 32 mutations that have been observed in the spike proteins.

Plus other mutations. The vaccines target the spike protein and hence the concern with vaccine immunity. In stating that immunity via contracting COVID does not appear to be stopping people being re-infected. It also doesn't appear to be as virulent.

The most vulnerable at this point in time appear to be unvaccinated who haven't contracted COVID which is pretty funny.

You seem to target the unvaxxed most of the time Earl when most of this new varient scare was found in the fully vaxxed first and foremost as per South African health dept...
the vaxxed seem to be cluttering up the health system at the moment as well with adverse reactions to the vax...
You also seem to depend on following the science for your opinion, yet when G.Hunt was questioned about the virus and vax he told the media that "we wont know the outcome of the vax trial or how effective they are until the end of 2023"...so according to him and he is the expert that he doesnt know the scientific result yet..
As far as unvaxxed spreading the virus, how come when the gym is Sydney opened up to the fully vaxxed, they recorded 4 covid cases and the unvaxxed were in lockdown...
Now lets discuss the science of mask wearing...how come you can be seated at a restaurant with many patrons in it and you can take your mask off when seated, but you must wear a mask to stand up to go to the bar or bathroom and you have to be fully vaxxed to be in there in the first place..
This virus is so well trained it must detect when you suddenly stand up and not wearing a mask that it will attack...
bit like when Andrews put a curfew on in Vic,the virus must have clocked off at 9pm and started again at 5am...
Science is good, but be very dubious of the people who are delivering you the science...I havent got their papers or records that they base their science off...so how do I know truth from garbage that these so called experts give us...

Bill Gates major donor to WHO...
major shareholder in Vax companies...
he killed thousands of kids in AFRICA with experimental vax..
he sterilised thousands of women in India with experimental vax...
Do some research Earl and look up agenda 2021 and 2030,and who the main players are...

Have your opinion which is fair enough....I have mine and it was formed after much research ...when I got knocked back for my Med Exemption I smelled a rat...why you may ask, before the pandamic if I went to the doc with a really bad flu,he would give me a script and a med cert for how many days of to rest, yet my blood clotting history isnt more important than a flu and I had to prove I had an ADVERSE reaction before I could get one...A RISK I WASNT PREPARED TO TAKE ON AN EXPERIMENTAL DRUG...sort of defeats the purpose, risk illness from a flu type virus with 99.5 % survival or hospitalisation from life threatening blood clots....
cheers Earl...I enjoy your input, but also remember others have opinions as well, conversations are great as long as there not just one sided...

Immunity is immunity.

Source: Dr Peter Doherty, Nobel Prize winning immunologist.

Out of interest, I Googled the bloke in this video and discovered he's a nurse.

There is a difference. The immune response from contracting the virus is broader than getting vaccinated.

It's not really talking to the issue though. The real issue is in people with no anti-bodies and these are the people who are unvaccinated.

The best immune response is catching COVID and getting the vaccine. The more you are exposed the better the immune response.

I love that YT channel. It's the best I've seen on the Internet. He gives referenced sources all the time.

Saying things like, maybe it's deadlier and maybe not, and let's wait and see can never be accepted as being part of proper standards and procedures in any emergency situation including with this new variant of concern (**VOC**). What if it is proven to be deadlier? Then what? then it would be too late again as it was with Delta.

It's now been reported that, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (**CDC**) has confirmed that the US is set to impose new Covid restrictions, requiring a **negative test** within one day of travel for all arrivals, **including** vaccinated people.

I don't understand why they have included the wording "including vaccinated people", because currently the US denies entry to unvaccinated people from all countries??

And again, these type of reports highlights once again the incompetence by the US, and Aust. and their delayment in carrying out the necessary precautionary measures.

The CDC of the US says keep the borders open but test, test and more test, and Aust. says the same but also says to do **contact tracing**, which means it is pure garbage when the borders are open.

If these governments are truly concerned about this **Omicron**, then they must shut the borders, or if not, then they shut the hell up! and stop confusing their citizens who are actually turning against each other, which is only due to this hypocrisy by the business driven minds of these govt's.

Who is it really that the govt. is concerned about? Is it the health of it's citizens? Or is it that, it's the profits of the elite and their inflated casino-like stock markets that's causing the govt's impaired judgements?

Of course governments care about the financial aspect of lockdowns, that very factor is why they dont continue lockdowns indefinitely. They'd all go broke.

But I suspect it's like the rest of this world, in that no one factor can be considered by itself, and really, there are a heap of reasons that governments make decisions like these. Including they want what is the best for it's people, or at least they want to be seen to trying to do what is the general consensus of what is right for the people (to help them retain their positions).
