My problem is Olympics don't seem that big a deal anymore ....lot of Stadiums like Chandler and QEII stadium will need major upgrades ......someone might have a clue how much Sydney made .....58.6 billion as quoted seems extremely unrealistic .......my opinion ...this could end up being a huge farce for Qld / Australia profits wise .....

Well if the Federal Sports Minister , Premier and I (think) the head Olympic delegate aren't there your bid is null and void ......

I think the Olympics now are a waste of money ...you'll never recoup the money unless we were to win a FIFA World Cup bid within 15 years ......

She is going to follow all the lockdown policies ..why waste the money we have already invested .....

Lockdown laws are a farce
Pubs , clubs , restaurants and small businesses are a no go , but you can pack out Bunnings ?

I'd be furious if I was a small business that had to close while K Mart can stay open. If k mart is "essential", everything is essential.

The last 2 weeks, we have lost 95% of our business as we service the hospitality sector for most of our work.

Sorry to hear mate, I hope it picks straight back up again once the lockdown is done.

We will be ok, we lost $10k in jobs just over the 1st weekend of lockdown. Hopefully most of those jobs will come back as they were all weddings and events etc. We have a few jobs we have to now store and protect until those events are rescheduled which is problematic as well. Financially we will be able to ride this out but it would be much better for us if the lockdowns hit harder and were shorter.

No but I am available to sing at people's weddings if required. I run an Ice company lol. We do everything from bagged ice, dry ice etc through to ice sculptures. The ice sculptures are the big value part of the business and is where we lost in the wedding and event side of the business.

Perhaps nofo can get corona so he can isolate on his wing for once


Off course it wont be the last time and even if we do get as close to a full vaccination you will still get outbreaks.**We are so far behind the civilised world in vaccinations it is embarrasing to tell people you are in Australia**.Eventually Covid will mutate into something benign but there is no way of knowing how many years that will take.

Not at all our vaccination rate is the lowest in developed nations.Even today i was reading that our aged care vaccine rate is well behind schedule and that was promised to be complete by the end of April.That is a total fail by our federal government and an area they have complete responsibility for.

How do I search where the NSW Health minister sends his Year 12 sons .....and where are the rest of the ministry sending their kids remarkably now on full schlolarships ....
