It maybe unpalatable to some but it is most definitely vaccine apartheid what is currently being proposed.

I'm not really into pointless word games, but vaccination is a choice. Race isn't.

Is that so....?

Maybe getting the vaccine for some isn’t a choice either.

Which is why there will no doubt be medical exemptions I wouldn't be surprised if there were also faith-based exemptions given who we have as PM.

Sadly each of the examples in the article leave people behind.

**PS: Genetically there is no such thing as race. It’s purely a construct to suppress people.**

And that is the point. The human race finds reason to discriminate, real or imagined. 2024 is a bad year for the Aussie economy? just blame those without a jab? Point and say it is their fault.

Yep, you can see that coming.

I Fear life does not return to normal once vaccinated. Thats my point re relative vaccine efficacy, real risks of virus small vaccine risk.
Let's hope vaccinated persons have the right to protest at 80% vaccinated .

Maybe they will if they check in and keep the 4sq rule. That way the police can keep a dossier on people perhaps.

As a matter of interest how do people on here feel about authoritarian restrictions continuing past an 80% vaccinated rate? I always thought once this happens life reverts fully back to normal, everyone has had an opportunity to vaccinate .......But seems we hear oppression goes on .

Do vaccination status have to be updated every 6 months?

By choice, for my own health benefit and for those with whom I interact, I am fully vaccinated. There were very mild side effects but nothing like the health impact, for someone like me of 60+ yo, of contracting the virus.

I respect the choice of people to decide about vaccination or not.

But if, in the unfortunate circumstance that I contract the virus and, due to my vaccination and likely asymptomatic state, infect others who have chosen not to be vaccinated, I will lose about 0.5 milliseconds of sleep and about the same level of regret.

Don't know why you were down voted for this because I absolutely agree with you except for the milliseconds. Mine would be 0.00.
Get the jab for yourself and your fellow man.
However should those who don't get it be a second class person?

I would say yes .. have the booster and your status continues, this will be the case for a few years I reckon.

I'm going to be honest here. Tomorrow we move out of level 3 here in Wellington. I've been in meetings for most of the days about covid and starting up again. One of those meetings was said any one without a vaccine would not be allowed on site. Fair enough. But then they said we should think of removing them as we might not get future contracts....this is where I am coming from. Does not effect me but there is a line I think is going to be crossed all over the world. I'm shock. As I said previously all my guys are jabbed. But there is a line being set and I'm unsure

I didn't know I was downvoted and couldn't care less.

But those of us who trust the science know that, along with climate change, this virus threatens our very existence and that of our kids and future generations.

I don't care if some choose not to do all they can to protect themself or others. I respect their choice.

But, science tells me, and I believe it, that they won't impact my quality of life.

All I'm saying is that is if I inadvertently and unknowingly become infected and pass that onto those who chose not be vaccinated, I couldn't give a flying fig.

Not arguing with you. Agree 100 percent

Well if this state of affairs continues for another few years even when vaccinated that is very sad indeed.

Seems "democracy " is changing sadly

Fight well @Magpie_Magic.

I just highlighted a few truths that have been backed up which may have enlightened some because I fear that life has changed for us all perhaps permanently.
I just read CMO in NSW saying vacines, social distancing and by extension QR codes and general oppression lasting many years even with vacines.

I'm spooked.

I hope they will let us protest after 80% vaccinated otherwise the real battle has been lost !

Truths backed up by what? You're way behind the 8-ball on providing anything of factual or scientific basis in this thread.

No, it seems like that has nothing to do with democracy. If you don't like what they're doing then vote for someone else. Then when they turn around and do the same thing you can realise that you actually don't like democracy because the majority are against you.

So even if nearly everyone if vaccinated you feel restrictions must go on?
If everyone is against me that's fine. Just didn't think people want restrictions for many years without right to protest.
But then some may prefer authoritarian regimes. That's their choice.

Really.

I highlighted that some have died fully vaxed and were very sick.
Nobody seemed to be aware.
Is that not factual?

Yes we're aware - elderly folk with underlying health issues, although you didn't bother to talk about those key factors because it doesn't fit in with your agenda.
