After hearing Farah being unsigned, payments stopping to Sheens and many unsigned or contract back flips, Wests Campbelltown pulling out funding, the stalemate with the board over Potter, black heavily featuring on next years jersey and a possible link to Jason Taylor a former Magpie, is this a deliberate ploy.
It's well documented that Balmain Tigers cannot make their financial commitments, so are Wests Magpies deliberately steering the WT into crashing in order to take full control.
I was originally a Magpie and if this is the plan that'll do me. The board must go, I just can see any other reason behind this. The place has a stench of the Northern Eagles. We are a team that's geographically everywhere, could this be a push to permanently move our base to the Campbelltown area. I think the NRL has there nose in this and are towing the line. I do hope this is just a wrong observation and just a case of bad management. If these are their intentions without the NRL knowing or being in on it, I can honestly say get ready for a complete relocation out of Sydney or fold. What a joke.

- 12 games at Perth
- or 8 perth + 4 games at Campbelltown
- campbelltown juniors feed up to NRL team
- Magpies NSW cup team feeds NRL team
- Ashfield maintains NSW cup team
- New owners maintain NRL team

Dont see it happening but certainly has merit mixing history/tradition with a new market

The NRL does not want to loose the tiger branding that's the only thing in Balmains favour,whether or not Balmain can continue to fund their side or not as long as we have a team in the NRL it will be off the tigers logo.

god these rumours really are poor form. the nrl will and cant let clubs demerge it was part of our agreement when we joined. especially the tigers brand being one of the most marketable and recognised sporting brands in the country there is a snow balls chance in hell of us relocating or splitting.

the only magpies sporting powerhouse in this country is collingwood. to try and compete for branding and the rest against the biggest footballl club on the land is ludicrous.
