Could Siro be a Half ???

Miller is the better half and so is chisholm from what i've seen. Apart from that he'll have established players in the likes of moltzen and humble to compete with. This makes him about 5th option for the season, and I doubt we'll see him get a run in first grade until he's 20.

Young Sirro will definitely play FG before he turns 20\. It just may not be at halfback…and Humble established? I don't think so.

Its funny you know ,the club sees Curtis as a possible half yet no one here sees him as a half back

Forget the size issues from what I have seen he could definitely be a half back

I assume when nature takes its course, and another five or 6 pre-season trainings and he fills out he wont have the build for a half, he'll be like a Tony Williams type build….too big, that said theres no plans to move him yet.
He's in the good books too.

Here we go again with size of half backs

I am not going to answer this question until he finishes developing ,but what I will say if he still has all the attributes of a half back whether he is 4 foot 6 or 6 foot 6 He should be allowed and able to play that position not pigeon hole him saying he is to big to play a particular position

Must say I have never seen a 6foot 6 inch halfback in all the years that I have followed league. I am about 5'10" and I have never seen one bigger than me (or even close).

I will say that he is to big to play half. He is also very very suspect in defence. A couple of more years in the lower grades will tell the tale.

I think that his defence was due to the shoulder issues he was having late in the season . He was far better earlier in the year and was supposedly carrying the shoulder since round 10

And to use the same analogy I used last time I had this argument no one thought that anyone of Usain Bolts build and height would make a good sprinter

And whos is the now the world's greatest sprinter ever

That's the point I am trying to make is size means nothing (Still trying to convince the wife of that as well :roll )

Unfortunately, but luckily for us I think we have Simon Dwyer's replacement. I just don't see him coming back fully fit. That said, Sirro 2.0 will be the best ball playing back rower the game has ever seen!

I dont see Sirro being a halfback…we have better options in Miller etc... I see Sirro being a great ball playing 2nd rower/lock...replacing Ellis...

News to me….Ive never seen this mentioned anywhere

Still...sprinting and the toughest contact sport in the world are very different and like comparing a piano to a pen - pointless

Until Bolt the typical body shape for a sprinter was about 6 foot and legs like tree trunks and upper body's like body builders

Bolt certainly doesn't fit that mould

And you saying that being very tall can prevent you from being a good halfback is about as pointless as well Ink

Eventually someone will break the mould they always do No reason it can't be Sironen

I'm not saying it will be Sironen but being narrow minded about it doesn't help

Eventually we'll get a fair, reasonable govt everyones happy with….I wont hold my breath.

Come back WHEN it happens, happy

I think that was supposed to read... Is like trying to use a broken pencil - pointless.

I think his skill set leads to him playing either centre or back row….. I see a Luke Lewis style back rower being his long term role.

Sironen would have been a starter in the team IMO. But now with his injury its hard to say what Sheens will do. He has a few options all depending on where he want's Molten to play

Dont think so…not with only half a year of 20's....he'd get smashed, the week in week out of NRL would soon find him out

I know training and prioritys have changed but NYC was the same level as jersey flegg, which was 4 grades below 1sts.....patience grasshopper

I'm sure I read some where that Sheens wanted Sironen to start at 5/8 next year and were gunna trial Benji at FB to try and fit him in?

Well I will stand corrected if that is in fact the plan, would like to read this article too

I cant see how though as he carried his injury thru the back half of the year, it was always the plan to have surgery after exams

Well now you guys cut Robert Lui i can't see the Benji at FLB experement happening anyway but i till try and find the article. Who is now more likely to start in the halves with Benji, Miller or Moltzen?
