COVID crowd question

Hi all. The old story. Long time lurker. First time poster.

Just a bit confused about crowds during Covid. In particular one example.

When we played the Cowboys at Leichhardt (yes a game to forget I know). I believe the game was a sellout a day or 2 before it was played. I went to the game thinking. ok we won't pull 18K or something like that. But maybe 12 or 13. With restricted numbers on the hill. However from memory the crowd was posted under 10k.

Now at Penrith. They have sold out there last few i think. And the crowd numbers have been around 17-18k. They have 2 hills at each end.

So what gives ? Are Penrith not compliant with covid? Is there still covid restrictions at NRL games ? Or were way way too conservative with the crowd we let in ? Just curious.

Penrith actually got pulled up earlier in the year for having too many people at the game. Penrith have much more seated areas than LO though. I think at the time we were only able to sell 25% of tickets for the hill.

Yes i vaguely remember that. Will be interesting to see what sort of crowd we pull on Friday night. Still unsure if there are any crowd restrictions?

Who’s going? You can like this comment instead of replying if it’s easier

I'm going to try go, even if it's raining

Yeah I’m thinking the same! Rain is shit go but I’m scared of trekking it hour and a bit both ways just incase the boys don’t turn up!

Any weather people here? It’s meant to be a slight rain right?

Weather forecast is not too bad 1-4mm and mainly coastal. I think it will be ok by Friday evening. My daughter and I definitely going. Go boys !! 2 in a row. You can do it

The club would want 12k to 14k on Friday night ...the hated (supposedly )Bankwest pulled 10k last week .

There is a easy way to increase crowd numbers ----- Win more games and show some ticker.
They expect us fans to show up and pay big dollars to watch some guys that are happy just to be playing 1st grade and not concerned they are losing..

Its been a while sense we have won more that 1 game in a row and as a professional team that is just not good enough.

Don’t know if there are crowd restrictions officially but Leichhardt is still working on crowd restrictions

I’ll be there! Hoping we pack it out, But unfortunately I’ve seen more comments about people complaining about the price of tickets and what not

A Leichhardt GA membership costs $109 a year, which guarantees you entry to the 3 games a year plus you get merch etc. I honestly don't know why people get bent out of shape about missing tix when that's available
