Sheens milked him for all he's worth, played extraordinary amount of minutes most games for a rookie front rower…he covered sheens recruitment shortcomings...but that said, Woodsy copped it and handled it very well, ive always been concerned about burnout with him...its still a concern....but hes had a great season

He was dropped in the deep end at years start and was heavily criticised for being soft when in actual fact he was just inexperienced. He didnt complain, instead he played tough and improved out of sight. He began to carry the forward pack and did his job every round without big noting himself in the media or attacking his earl season critics.

I have no doubt we would have given Parra a run for their money if not for his huge contributions. He was not just our best this year, he has made the entire league sit up and notice his game. He is a genuine star and has a huge future in front of him. He has gone up against huge packs this year and has not taken a backward step. He trusts his game and backs his strengths.

Congratulations to Woodsey…he has certainly earned every cent he has been paid this year.

Yep woods is the biggest positive I can take from this season. An absolute warhorse. Can't compliment the big bloke enough. True champion.
