Yeah Watson's decision was aweful…but Rogers and Hughes should have both been given not out. The LBW on Rogers was ridiculous. At least in fast motion Hughes's sounded like he hit it.

I'll admit I've had a few, but I saw no evidence Hughes touched that ball...any sober people got a view on that one?

But that was the problem Stryker , no evidence he didn't hit it either

Didn't sound like a nick , sounded more like spikes on the pitch

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I saw no hotspot on his bat

Watson should be made get permission to challenge.

What a seldf centred toss pot

Neither could I Stryker. Snicko definitely picked up something though.

Hard to tell to be honest mate , I thought I saw the smallest flicker and the sound came at the right time

A very poor day 2\. Some poor shots, ridiculous DRS options used or not used and just brain dead overall.
It'll be tough to get a good result out of this match.

iirc watson asked rogers if he should review.

part of the blame should've gone to rogers as well… a batsman shouldn't review his own LBW, the guy at the non striker's has a better view.. unless it's an inside edge

Unless Anderson ,Bresnan,Broad and Swann breakdown overnight we are no hope

I blame the pitch.

How the hell do you expect our bats to get good scores when their quicks move it in the air AND off the pitch?

And what about Swann? Our blokes are no chance if it keeps turning on this pitch.

We make flat pitches to watch good slogging one day innings and now we have to bat on this type of pitch for 5 days? Really? How the hell did Bradman nearly average 100 on uncovered pitches?

The game is so much different from those days

Far less cricket ,no videos to pick up weaknesses ,fielding standards compared to today ,amateur game compared to the professional game

Captains used smart tactics to conquer wet pitches and stickies They would open the batting with the bowlers to let the pitches dry and improve

We need to improve our bowling attack and training methods First thing would be to re employ Craig McDermott as the bowling coach

Another shocking call ,the Smith no catch was a joke

If they can't get it right with video replay why use it

Clarke should of led them off after that call , make a statement

siddle reminds me of utai playing for us.. straight and hard but looks even better coz others are very inconsistent.

siddle is nothing special- but the bowlers around him need to pull their parts

Australia have been given a real cricket lesson here. I think Trent Bridge sums up how I wanted this series to go, but Lord's sums up how it will actually be.

How dumb was it that Clarke didn't take the new ball. Sure the game is gone but show some fight for gods sake. He was just conceding defeat by keeping the spinners on and he got what he deserved as the Poms cashed in. Its the kind of boneheaded piece of captaincy id come to expect from Ponting.

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised by Trent Bridge. We should have won that game. Lords though is showing the real difference. Add to that that Cook hasnt played well yet and KP has also been rusty. She' going to be a long series.

He's resting his quicks who've bowled a lot of overs. The new ball is also easier to score off.

The catch that wasn't given is just one of those things where momentum is a reason for it. Sometimes things go your way, sometimes they don't. And there isn't much going Australia's way at a time we can't afford to have bad luck.
