Covered this last page we are missing Border ,Chappell ,Thomson ,Sam Trimble , Martin LOve ,Stuart Law ,Jimmy Maher , Ian Healy ,Rackemann , Bichel and Kasperwicz :brick:

Cut us some slack

Great long form player Stewie Law was.

At least no former Qld players are carrying on like that clown Michael Clarke is

He's a disgrace to Aus cricket, not just NSW.
He's done a fair job to be in the most respected position in Australia and still be so despised.

Throw in Watson and Katich as well

NSW cricket is a disgrace , destroying this country proud cricketing reputation , we are we ranked 8th ??

We will have to qualify for WC's shortly

Shane Robert Watson
Born 17 June 1981 (age 35)
Ipswich, Queensland, Australia

So excited for the first test. Got some time off work and a bunch of fellas will head over the local for the first days play, which happily coincides with Oaks Day.

LOL at the Poms getting beaten by the Bangas

Then again I reckon we probably aren't too far away from suffering the same ignominy

A poster on this forum played some cricket at grade level with Katich and tells me he a really good guy. He also knows Clark and said he is very determined and single minded and can come along as being prickly and arrogant but is actually a good guy and lets face it he is a Tigers supporter so he can't be all bad

Pumped for the first Test. Spewing De Villiers won't be playing though, he is all class.

Be interesting if our batting line up can handle South Africa, I think they may struggle, outside Smith and Warner we lack real class

Tell Clarke to go and support the Rabbits

That story that former Tasmanian Brett Geeves tells says it all for me in regards to Clarke

All the fuss about Joe Mannie getting selected …and they make him 12th man.. 😕

Rod's tenure can't end quick enough....

BUT..the lull between Footy season and Cricket season is Over...Fire Up Aussies pound them Saffa's....

NSW continue their dominance over QLD.

Beating them by 225 runs in the opening round of the Sheffield Shield.

At the Gabba..

They felt so sorry for them they wouldn't let Starc bowl in their 2nd Innings…

Needed to give them at least some chance.

Cut us some slack

Border, Chappell and Thomson shouldn't have been playing for Qld in the first place.

I've meet Clarke through work, he was very humble and respected of all the people at our work place. From the cleaner to the GM.
Put him near a cricket field and he's probably a different person.

The sooner Pat Howard gets punted as well, the better.

Note these opinions are across all 3 formats

Mitch Starc is the best bowler in the world.
Closely followed by Ravi Ashwin
Ashwin is very good with the bat and would make any starting 11 as would Starc
If every batsmen played to their potential I couldn't split Warner & Kohli.
But Warner doesn't always play to his potential.
He did have 2 good knocks against South Africa in the ODI series.
Kohli also struggled for form against New Zealand in their test series.
He got out for very small scores before making a big double hundred in the last test.
India look the team to beat at the moment.

Warner has a very good Test record in Australia..not so good overseas.
from Cricket.com
"In 27 matches on Australian soil, Warner has 12 hundreds to his name and holds an imposing average of 60.56\. It stands in contrast to his away record. In 25 Tests abroad, Warner averages 38.53 and since notching his most recent Test century on foreign soil – 133 in Dubai against Pakistan in October 2014 – he averages 33.12 away from home.
Despite his struggles abroad, relative to his lofty standards at international level, Warner has begun Test series, both home and away, in excellent fashion. In the last 12 Test series-openers Warner has played in, he’s plundered 1370 runs at 62.27."

The first Test begins in just over 2hrs (EST) The 12th Man will be named at the toss.

Here's the sides
Australia squad
SPD Smith*, JR Hazlewood, UT Khawaja, NM Lyon, MR Marsh, SE Marsh, JM Mennie, PM Nevill†, PM Siddle, MA Starc, AC Voges, DA Warner

South Africa squad
F du Plessis*, KJ Abbott, HM Amla, T Bavuma, SC Cook, Q de Kock†, JP Duminy, D Elgar, KA Maharaj, M Morkel, VD Philander, K Rabada, RR Rossouw, T Shamsi, DW Steyn, DJ Vilas

Wonder if the pitch will offer the bowlers this time around, or have they gone the extra step this year and coated it in asphalt?
