Cricket Season Thread

Pretty intense Test match. Every run would be worth two on a standard pitch. Batting last is going to be a real problem for the Aussies. What ever runs we get with the tail end will be worth there weight in gold

.
Having said that I'm going to make a McGath like prediction a say Starc will get a century.

You'd have to think if we get 100 runs ahead it's going to be hard for India to come back. That pitch was a bastard from day one, and the longer we bat, the harder it's going to be for us to chase whatever they set.

It will be interesting to see whether we bat it out or declare in order to force a result in the face of the weather and pitch conditions, wouldn't want to be batting on that late in day 4\. Conversely, India are coming out to bat in worse conditions and would be hard up scoring the same again on that, especially if Lyon and SOK are tossing up Jaffas.

Wouldn't want to be chasing more than 120 on that deck on day 4.

With us having to bat second on a pitch that is turning like a top, I think India have their nose in front at Lunch. I think the Australian will struggle to get more than 120 in the second dig. We certainly need three quick wickets after lunch. Koli will be the key, hard to imagine him failing again

India 0/38 at Lunch.

We just need to stop their run-scoring (3.8 r/po) and put the pressure back on them.

Hopefully we can stop their runs, put pressure on them and hopefully jag a wicket. Then hopefully they collapse and get bowled out for 75-150.

Then we only need to chase maybe 50 runs to win the series.

What happened to S O'K ??

Get lost in the wash did he ??

How good's Queensland's bowler going?
Oh wait…

You mean Renshaw ??

We will never know , you don't get to bowl for Australia unless you have a NSW drivers licence (which probably came from a Weet Bix box  )

Tell us more about Renshaw's bowling then

O'Keefe to Rahul, **OUT**, oh what a ripper. Smith dropped one earlier, but this is a stunner. Australia needed something like this to pull themselves back into this contest. Full outside off, Rahul drives, gets a thick edge, this is flying wide of slip, but Smith flies to his right, and takes this behind himself. This is one of the best catches given the situation of the match. The Aussies all gather around their leader. The man. Steven Smith

That's out pad first , he's gone

Great piece of umpiring by Llong there. Had he not given it I am not sure they would have overturned it.

It's one of those calls that either way had to be given benefit of the doubt

Front on it looked pad first , side on I wasn't so sure , especially when snicko was applied

India must be just looooving the technology at the moment
