Cameron Bancroft will be A. Cheered; B. Booed; C. Indifferent response????

I would heartily clap Bancroft….only for the fact that he ratted out Warner.
Will be a sad day for Aussie cricket when/if Warner the little gerbil gets another gig for our country.

He will be back the second he is available. No way he won’t be picked after the pathetic batting from our supposed top 6\. He and smith will be back for World Cup and ashes tour. I don’t like him either but I’m sure he will be back

I'm not so sure you can pick them without any 4 or 5 day cricket behind them to be honest

The National cricket team are not that apart from the Wallabies, unfortunately this particular generation of sportsmen in these two particular codes are just not up to the standard required. They live like kings with the remuneration to match .This will never change until someone finally takes some responsibility and set the required standards.

Don’t disagree but are you going to leave smith and Warner on the sidelines after what we’ve dished up this summer?? They will be back Day one - no doubt

If we had half a brain we'd organize a couple of full scale trial games and then pick the squad , give Smith ,Warner and Bancroft every chance to be fully prepared

Smith for sure, not so sure about Warner though.

Smith will, Warner not so sure. I think CA are over him, and who could blame them.

I think they were both in the nets at the Adelaide test I think. That was before all interviews aired too I suppose. But Smith for sure will be back and Bancroft would have to score heavily in the remaining shield games, to have any chance of going to England.

Did anyone see the stats on Cricket 360 last night

Of the 2500 odd balls Australian has bowled in the series , only 290 odd were going on to hit the stumps

India 8 LBW's

Australia 1 LBW (Lyon)

When you take out two forms of getting batsmen out virtually completely you have to ask questions

We either have the wrong tactics or the bowlers are shocking at following game plans

The other big argument is the first innings scores against us in the last 12 tests and how the Australians have lost the ability to reverse swing the ball since the Cape Town Test

The other question raised was which batsmen in our side will cope with the swing bowling of Anderson and Broad in England against the Duke ball

The stat on opposition first innings totals is interesting. I think it’s about consistency in line and length. You’d look at McGrath’s pitch map and everything was clustered tight. Current bowlers are spraying the ball everywhere. So often they bowl three good balls then stray to the pads, releasing any pressure.

As for Aussie batsmen that will cope in England:
Smith
Daylight

Knew a few of the Daylight boys from Ipswich in my footballing days …...didn't know any had sons that could play cricket well 😕

Paine’s Wife must be jealous of Pujara. Paine’s has spent more time staring at his backside this series, then he’s stared at his wife’s during their entire marriage.

Labuschagne is so far proving to be the debacle it seemed on paper. 10 overs of expensive leg spin. So worth not picking a batsman.

If you looked up the term placeholder in the Australian cricket dictonary, you’d see his picture.

Yep. And to a lesser extent Head. But at least he has an established first class career.
