So noise is getting louder around the ashes being cancelled. Would be a real shame as it was looking like being a good series.

Any ideas what happens if most of the English pull out. Do they:
1. Play against an under strength English team
2. Pull out the old Australia A concept
3. Find someone else looking for a hit

The Afghanistan game looks gone as well so could be a very quite summer without a test.

I know this will sound crazy ...but I'd be quite happy if the Poms wanted to bring out 35-40 players to help deal with the mental aspects of some of the lockdown they will have to deal with .....


From what i have heard much of it is about the soap dodgers not seeing their families while they are here (probable covid restrictions)

They were going to bring a bigger squad for the start of the tour at least but are struggling to get enough players to commit due to the family aspect. They have given players until the end of September to make a call. Going to be interesting

It’s only WA which has the hard boarder with everyone else and if they are in a bubble it would be okay. Problem is players don’t want to be in any more bubbles.

Well the Rest of the World side isn't based in England ......West Indians , Kiwis , Indians ,Saffas , Pakistani's ,Irish ..a couple of Poms to make the numbers ......

He was notorious for his homesickness which was why I don’t think he performed very well outside of England. Damaging when he was on though.

I'll be gutted if the series doesn't go ahead. Me and the same group of 8 have been going to Jane McGrath day every year since 2012 with the exception of heading the the Boxing Day Test in Melb for the Ashes one of those yrs. It's literally the highlight of our annual calendar, book a penthouse in the city for the night, dress head to toe in pink and let the liquid gold flow.

Surely that’s what they would do. Would be a good opportunity for a few youngsters although I think the ashes will go ahead just minus a couple of Englishmen

Second innings he has been terrible. First innings he is still doing his thing. He also hasn’t had the greatest success in Australia

I probably wouldn't bother going to watch. Australian cricket is a long way away from the halcyon '90s era where the two best teams in the world were Australia and Australia 'A'.

If it means still being able to sink beers with the boys and be there live I'd be fine with it.
