Maybe but that innings was close to taking all the sting out of the chase. Nobody has really just hung around this test. Maybe Webster in the first innings but Konstas and Pant made runs by attacking.Konstas throws his wicket away,he has to learn to curb his aggression because you can't thrash every ball
Konstas got a pair of 20’s. I wouldn’t call that making runs.Maybe but that innings was close to taking all the sting out of the chase. Nobody has really just hung around this test. Maybe Webster in the first innings but Konstas and Pant made runs by attacking.
i tend to agree. I like that he is aggressive. It forced the in-out field. With that field forced the mature approach would then be just milk the singles. Force them to bring fielders up to plug the gaps and stop the singles. Then you can return to hyper aggression and if you lose your wicket so be it. I think he will learn to bat with a little more maturity in time but he obviously isn't there yet. It’s ok to be aggressive, if it’s controlled, and with this kid, it’s not controlled. He’s swinging like a tailender. There is a sense that he could be out any ball playing a careless shot like your average 9 or 10.
