Very hard to have any faith in our batting lineup and on this track it’s even harder. We need someone like Head or Konstas to have a real dash. The total is gettable even on this track. If they can get to 50 for the loss of a couple they should make it

Maybe but that innings was close to taking all the sting out of the chase. Nobody has really just hung around this test. Maybe Webster in the first innings but Konstas and Pant made runs by attacking.

Konstas got a pair of 20’s. I wouldn’t call that making runs.

i tend to agree. I like that he is aggressive. It forced the in-out field. With that field forced the mature approach would then be just milk the singles. Force them to bring fielders up to plug the gaps and stop the singles. Then you can return to hyper aggression and if you lose your wicket so be it. I think he will learn to bat with a little more maturity in time but he obviously isn't there yet.

Expecting a 19 year old to have the right temperament for test cricket is unreasonable. There's a reason you don't see many teenagers playing test cricket and that many batsmen don't figure out their games until their 30s

He has offered something different and totally changed the dynamic at the top of the order. Think you just have to take the bad with the good at the moment

Hopefully the Marshtard experiment is finally dead and burried. The worst Australian cricketer I have ever seen to have played more than a couple of tests. If the Marshmallow was rolled out to provide his usual lap dances in the change rooms and SFA on the field in Sydney the Border Gavaskar would be back to India. Disgusting that he is the seventh ranked all-rounder in the country yet somehow played 46 tests thanks to his daddy's WA mate.
